Sure some are lame but proportionate to any other so defined country there are some who really do things well. Whether a fan or not the Barenaked Ladies are very capable and entertaining live. Rush always put on elaborate concerts.. and Triumph. Most local bands severly suck in this department with most musician types turning up their noses to this behaviour. The fact the they can pull of the kind of music they play without it even looking difficult and still giving the kind of energy they do blows me away. Moneen is very close second. I saw the weakerthans the other day and they are definatley up there too. One of the finest shows I've ever seen. The best of the three F11 shows I've seen was when they opened for I Mother Earth at Vertigo. IME suck without Edwin. As for the only show I've ever been to, ya Ok.. so's your face.
