Lucky Bar User Info... | Hey... Yes, it is true. The promoter has violated an agreement with Lucky, and has decided to make a cash grab and move the Suicide Girls over to the Central at the last minute because he believes he can sell more tickets and make more money on what would have been a sell-out show. Which means he has hung us out to dry, despite the fact that it was booked with us almost four months ago, and that we have put a lot of promotion and support into the show. But, we're not going to whine about it, and since it has nothing to do with you, you should go see the show and enjoy it. However, if you feel like stopping by Lucky on the way, we will be giving out stickers and selling Lucky merch at staff prices for anyone who feels like wearing it over at the Central as a statement against greedy promoters. We open at 9pm, and will probably have some drink specials for anyone who shows up. PS - There is an open letter to Travis and the Central available outlining the negative implications of moving the show. For a copy, email [email protected] and put SORRY YOU GOT SCREWED in the subject box. - Mon, 12 Jul 2004 1:35am
day_trippen User Info... | maybe I will take you up on those early drink specials! But I am definetly checking out the suicide girl show, but I would be more than happy to promote lucky if there are some free or cheap ass drinks involved and free stickers. - Mon, 12 Jul 2004 4:50pm
Dd[]Sanger User Info... | Ya, screwing over Lucky is fucking weak. Place is an awesome venue and regularily hosts Metal and Punk shows, so as far as I'm concerned, this bar kicks ass! They're cool enough to book the iffy shows, and bailing out on a place that supports the scene so much for the sake of extra $ to be had, definately isin't what this place deserves, and I hope it's not a Victorian promoter, because if so, well christ... - Mon, 12 Jul 2004 5:08pm
Brian VIHC User Info... | Won't the increase in ticket sales be offset by the huge number of confused and angry people who show up at Lucky bar wondering what the hell is going on? Did anyone think of that? Very lame...anyhow, go to Horrorfeast at Lucky and support them on Thursday instead! - Mon, 12 Jul 2004 5:59pm
