Brand X Media User Info... | So I'm a little curious as to if you guys think that the movie will change the outcome of the US election? It'll be interesting considering that a couple days after Moore's film opens, The Corporation is opening in about 50 US cities on June 30. - Mon, 21 Jun 2004 4:48pm
Japanese Air Force User Info... | The bass player in GoS won 2 tickets to the sneak preview of this on Thursday and can't go because we've got a show at Lucky on the same night. I don't know if he's decided what he's doing with the tickets, but if someone here would like them, I'd certainly pass along the message. No promises that you'll get them! ~JAF - Mon, 21 Jun 2004 10:55pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Hey JAF - sign me up if a ticket is still floating around! Did anyone ever see his "TV Nation" show? My favourite segment had the British correspondent interviewing The Nuge. Fucking intensely awesome. - Mon, 21 Jun 2004 11:34pm
The One After Two User Info... | I find Micheal Moore entertaining... but his movies are as bad as Right wing filth... same thing except he's on our side. He plays a little fast with the facts. I'll go see it and be entertained, but don't believe too much. Mike has his own axe to grind. Here is a review by a right wing commentator just to see where there may be holes in his (Mike's) arguement: http://slate.msn.com/id/2102723/ - Mon, 21 Jun 2004 11:52pm

The One After Two User Info... | Sandor, you're thinking of Cuba. Man could I go for a Cristal right now :) - Wed, 23 Jun 2004 12:40pm
jackass User Info... | mmm, Cristal.. I drank my body weight of those while I was in Cuba..same with the non-stop pina coladas and the Mojitos...oh, the mojitos. In the Dominican Republic, they've got pretty much the same beer there, except it's called El Presidente. - Wed, 23 Jun 2004 1:15pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | A friend of mine went to the DR and brought me back El Presidente, can't remember what it tasted like. - Wed, 23 Jun 2004 4:02pm

Troutbreath User Info... | I just got back from seeing Farenheit 9/11. I recommend it. I think everybody should see a movie like this if only to start a conversation about what's going on. The thing that was the most disturbing for me was about half way into it I realized that this is what the press and television media should have been doing. It was done during the Vietnam war, showing the American people the real consequences of their profit based foreign policy. The American people had to watch pictures of Vietnamese children caught in a Napalm attack on their village. Watching the video of the Iraqi woman burned by napalm it occurred to me that the oil companies now own a very large share of American media. The story is just not being told. I'm glad that there are people like Micheal Moore trying to do that. Oh, by the way, make mine a Sol. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 12:39am
jackass User Info... | haven't seen Farenheit yet...but will soon, for sure. I agree w/ Troutbreath...I think we over here in North America should get a lot more graphic footage of exactly what is going on in the world as a result of US foreign policy. Let's see the bloody carnage of US marines wreaking havoc, let's see the immediate aftermath of suicide bombs...let us see it all. It's not that I'm interested in seeing it so much as I think we should all HAVE to see it. Maybe we'll think a little harder about how good things are over here and take less for granted? - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 7:33am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Good god the line up was insane. Went on friday night, finally started moving into the theater around 10ish(movie at 9:50) and the movie started around 10:30. I knew Bush sat there for 7 minutes or so after the planes struck, but to actually see him just sitting there, with that fucking blank look on his face as the Teacher continued to read the story... I can't agree more with TB and Jackass, we are shown next to nothing of the real images of war, it's something else to see a cart full of dead bodies of children and woman...little babies too. Over all it was good, I myself don't feel the same way about some of the things he said, his opions, but the movie is doc/opinion piece. One of my favorite lines. "Sit down my son, do you think Congress actually has time to read all the bills that are passed?" Or something along those lines. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 10:05am
jackass User Info... | yeah, it's important to remember that Moore is definitely one-sided, but my thoughts on that are you hear the "other side" all the time, it's all you ever hear. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 12:54pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Indeed, it's funny how the media is all over him for being biased, I guess they never watch their own stations. - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 2:26pm
Eurydice User Info... | I don't care if he's baised. I agree with what he says =D I laughed, I cried, I felt sick to my stomach. But most importantly, I now can't rid myself of the murderous passion the movie bestowed in me. Anyone wanna join me in castrating the president? - Mon, 28 Jun 2004 9:22pm
