| Zotzman User Info... | Hi: I am the guitar/producer for TBA and I was struck by a car while I was on my way to school one morning on my skateboard. That was 8 years ago and the pain of the injuries are far from being healed. I still have major knee problems that are unfixable and new problems that are always coming up. If you want some help or advice with anything such as filing a case against the driver and what ot then,feel free to email me. I filed a claim of upwards of $120,000 and settled out of court. Your elbow may be broken but you may not know of any other injuries until years later, so make sure hat you keep a diary of your day to day activities and restrictions. I can't skateboard anymore and you may not be able to drum anymore if things go in the wrong direction and if you don' file a claim against ICBC and get a lawyer then you may be dreading this day for the rest of your life. | jay brown User Info... | got the wheels rolling today with i.c.b.c. it's a rough one though cause when i was hit i flew over the car and hit my head and was pretty stunned and in shock. so when the guy asked if i was o.k. i just got on my skate and rode away cause i just couldnt understand what was going on. then i fell down a couple of blocks away and started throwing up. now since i've phoned the cops and i.c.b.c. it turns out that he didnt phone in about the accident at all. i do have my hospital records and everything but nobody to blame it on now. shitty deal but at the time i was so dazed i couldnt even think, i remember getting up and being worried that i bruised my apple in my lunch... bwahahah. man it's my left arm and i'm left handed typing sucks now. - Thu, 10 Jun 2004 12:44pm | ||

| Zotzman User Info... | Hey Jay: I also landed on my head and suffered from brain problems for a long time, almost 2 years. Memory loss was the biggest thing, studdering, slurred speach, concentration problems, etc. Some of which are still around. Make sure that you speak with a lawyer before signing anything for ICBC and be sure not to mention to ICBC that you are seeking legal advice or have already or they will deny your claim and leave you out in the cold. If you want you can email me with your telephone number and i can call you and explain how to point you in the right direction with regards to legal advice and everything else. I know a lot of lawyers, mainly friends of the family, and most lawyers work on a contingency type pay rate, whereas you dont have to pay them until you collect your claim. email [email protected] if you have any questions. That is why i asked if you got the licence plate number or if there were witnesses, because you should be able to recieve some money out of this mess (sometimes the system works for ya).
