Mr. Hell User Info... | Couldn't put it away tonight to my delight. I will laugh as the bandwagon jumpers lower their heads in shame as Calgayry presents Tampa Bay with the Cup on Monday night. Should be a great game! Say your prayers, Bram. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 3:41pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Well, this ardent Canucks fan would love to see Calgary win it for Canada. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 5:31pm
The One After Two User Info... | the game tonight was a dissapointment, was hoping for the big party. I will agree that most days of the year I hate Calgary, but Tampa Bay, ew gross. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 6:09pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Haha, you're just mad because they're a better team than those shit ass Canucks, who have probably been watching and crying in the corner. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 6:55pm
jay brown User Info... | I just want a canadian team to win it , end of story. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 9:41pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | That's wierd, I thought I was the only person rooting for Tampa... like I said to my Flames supporting friend before the puck dropped tonight... it's a best of 7 contest. But he doubted me :) - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 10:27pm
Mr. Hell User Info... | Mad? No. I didn't expect the Cannots to get past round two. Doesn't mean I can't be bitter. Not to mention that I never liked the Flames ever. Monday will be interesting. And everyone except Calgarians seems to think they are going to win it for Canada. They are winning it for Calgary. That is all. How many Canadians play on Tampa Bay? The Canadian team argument is really moot. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 11:01pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | I never said 'win for canada' I want them to win for my hate for the Canucks, been rooting since they defeated them. And as for all this Canada/hometown crap, screw it, players from all over play on teams, there are no 'Canadian' teams these days anyway. I DO think though, that Calgary deserves so much to be where they are. - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 3:30am
ML7Mike User Info... | you are a Colorado fan so you have no valid opinion, and at least the Canucks didnt choke and roll over unlike some superstar laden moneybags teams like.. ohh the AVS! ! - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 6:43am
ML7Mike User Info... | btw, no Candian teams hey? Isnt it Tampa who have 22 Canadian players on their roster? - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 6:44am
DOOMHAMMER User Info... | Im going for tampa bay over calgary. - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 7:36am
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | Me too... and I'm what Don Cherry would call a "good Canadian boy".... ;-) - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 8:02am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | "btw, no Candian teams hey? Isnt it Tampa who have 22 Canadian players on their roster?" Which is exactly what I'm saying! Well at least my team made it further than yours :p - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 9:01am
Wreaker of Havoc User Info... | With that payroll, shamefully so - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 9:15am
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Yeah I'm totally aware there's just as many Canadian players - and sometimes more - playing in U.S. franchises than Can. ones (beauteous case in point: the last team to win the cup whose ENTIRE roster was Can. was my beloved '74-'75 Flyers), HOWEVER, surely you'd rather have the Cup reside on our side of the border for the next while rather than down in some 35 degree celsius cesspool of ignorant, re-regurgitated puke known as Florida. Sure, it wouldn't hurt to promote a game down there that COULD use a bit more familiarty, and enlighten those folks down there about the glory that IS hockey, but, nnnnnnnaaawwww, we gotta stomp back at the Americans any way we can. Was it in '96 that the Panthers got to the finals? I can't remember. I predicted a while back that Manowar will do the anthem if the Lightning got to the finals...One more chance to get that one right...One aspect that is PARTICULARLY COOL about both teams being tiny markets is that it will be a powerful bargaining tool during the 'strike' talks, and say: players don't need shitloads of money to win a cup. If the poo-poo players think otherwise, then I think the players should be forced to walk around with oversized toques pulled down over their heads with eye-holes cut out (like that funky kid from Fat Albert). - Sun, 6 Jun 2004 6:40pm
Mi*coll* User Info... | FUCK!!!!! I hate tampa.. FUCKERS - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 3:00pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Congrats to Tampa Bay! There first Cup win in 8 years (they've never won a cup before). I was just thinking, Vancouver/Tampa Bay final would of rocked, two teams that have never won a cup before. I'm sorta bummed about a Canadian team/Calgary losing, but after Game 7 Van/Calgary, naaaa..... :) - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 4:03pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | Mi*coll* It's too bad, but if you were watching the same game as me, it wasn't hard to tell the Flames were being out-played. Such is life, but the Flames had an amazing run, I'll be keeping an eye on them next season, sans the lock out. - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 5:44pm
The One After Two User Info... | If Calgary went as hard as they did late in the 3rd all game... maybe they'd have won... Maybe a lot of things I guess... but Capt. Dave Anderchuk (sp) was one happy guy, it made me happy to see him win. - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 6:21pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Andercuk, 22 years without a taste of the cup, and now, good way to retire!!! Tampa did good, and well, Calgary was beaten after the first goal. - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 6:41pm
Curmudgeon Rocker User Info... | Yeah I guess 'ol "Mouthbreather" Andreychuk deserves a cup. I thought Phil Housley was even more deserving of one. Or Bobby Steele of The Undead. - Tue, 8 Jun 2004 3:08am
