Jason User Info... | http://www.greenparty.ca/index.php The Green Party is neither right nor left we are in front. We are fiscally responsible, socially progressive and committed to environmental sustainability. And unlike traditional parties, we think long term. Our platform presents a positive vision of the future. Our social programs focus on increasing our quality of life. Our economic policy lays the foundations for long-term, sustainable wealth. Our foreign policy makes principled stands on international issues. The Green Party is committed to: Restoring democracy in Canada by implementing a proportional representation voting system. Making wise investments for better health, better education and clean energy. Ending subsidies that result in more pollution and increased health risks. Creating green collar jobs for Canadians. Opposing an Anti-Ballistic Missile Defense system on Canadian soil. - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 1:41pm
Dd[]Sanger User Info... | Throw in the part that says "we support the legalization of BC Bud" and I'm in! - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 2:18pm
Mi*coll* User Info... | i don't know why the greens keep harping on this "neither left or right" thing. Clearly the greens are left wing: the environmental agenda is a left-wing one, and that is the majour agenda of the greens- hell, they even named the party after it. but, hell yes! vote green! all you guys who never vote, get out there and vote green this election- it can really make a difference (because it affects the funding). - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 3:29pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | Jack Laytona nd the NDP also support legalization, yo..... The NDP have a very real chance of making some gain in this election, so please check out their policies and give 'em a chance this time around..... Late election I voted Green, and I could do it again, but I like Jack Layton, and I like the NDP platform this time around..... That said, get out and vote... I don't care who you vote for, but get out a vote, motherfuckers..... - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 6:44pm
Mi*coll* User Info... | Wurd to that. I like layton, too. I saw him in the paper the other day up on stage with the constantines singing! rock and roll. - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 10:12pm
Broccoli User Info... | I used to go out with the X head of the green Party's sister.... something Parker... now he does PR for the liberals - Wed, 2 Jun 2004 11:21pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | The green party isn't about decrimilization of marijuana?!? So how come there called The Green Party?!? - Thu, 3 Jun 2004 7:10pm
David User Info... | They aren't called the Green Party because they support marijuana. If you use your effin brain you can figure it out. Green = a better way of life, green grass, the grass is GREENER with the greenparty - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 6:43am
_Griphin_ User Info... | I can use my brain... Green = Chartruce (sp?) or Absinthe for instance ;) - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 8:47am
darcy User Info... | LONG LIVE THE SOCIALIST REVOLUTION!!! DOWN WITH THE CAPITALIST PIGS!!!! uh...i am only 16 so no vote for this little marxist. - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 12:44pm
Masturbating The War God User Info... | There are 120 different factions of the Green Part around the world, and they hold some sort of power in 7 Countries. I really don't know who I'm voting for yet.. - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 3:38pm
The One After Two User Info... | 16 year old marxists are too funny. Did you just finish Animal Farm in English class? Hey Jason, who is leader of the Greens? As for the vote. Remember that from now on, parties get their campaign funding based on percentage of popular vote, so voting GREEN or NDP or whoever is good, even if the those other two parties win... - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 3:56pm
Jason User Info... | Jim Harris is the leader of The Green Party of Canada. I would vote NDP, but I was a supporter of them last time. - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 4:29pm
KnifeGhost User Info... | Funny, I voted Green last time, and NDP this time..... The Marijuana Party essentially disbanded because key members let to join the NDP in support of Jack Layton's pro-legalization platform........ - Fri, 4 Jun 2004 6:51pm
Trailer Park Boy Julian User Info... | DON'T VOTE - DON'T BITCH!!!! - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 8:30am
Autumn User Info... | the only reason I like Layton is because he is an openly creepy man, have you looked at him? he just spells out coniving creep. that said the NDP suck ass, thier ideas might look good on paper but then you know they're gonna dip into whatever money there is and throw us deeper into debt, personally I think they should consentrate on getting us on our own feet first and fuck everything else till then, whats with all these bums on welfare? I get it if you have 7 kids and are a single parent or whatever but there are just so many lazy people using it long term, of course they're going to cut funding. and actually screw the goverment, the people in the cities need to do thier part too, even if the green party gets elected it isn't gonna do much for our enviroment if people don't recycle or whatever. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 12:43pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I don't trust Layton, the decriminilization angle seems to be a guaranteed vote for a lot of people. You see Jack quite a lot on pot tv as well. I've never trusted him since. The NDP are grasping at straws at this point. - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 2:09pm
lonemonk User Info... | Its pretty sad that no one is really representing the crew on this board eh? On the other hand, I don't think I even want to SEE the candidate that represents all the riff-raff found around these parts. I have voted for M.K Gandhi and Hunter S. Thompson in past elections and the Rhino party was always a good choice when I was 'back east'. At least the Rhinos were in favour of a huge wall which separated Canada from the US at least 15 years before that was a fashionable idea. And they supported a tax exemption for all drinkers of Canadian beer. Beat that NDP! - Sat, 5 Jun 2004 4:16pm
David User Info... | Either way, The Liberals, Conservatives and The NDP are all gonna screw this country. For the next 4-5 years Canada will continue to be fucked. - Mon, 7 Jun 2004 7:25am

ticklefish User Info... | The "neither left nor right" bit is true. ya ya ya , environment is "left", but how many people out there/here even know anything more about the platform of the party? I am an ardent Green supporter now that they have Jim Harris as a leader. It is about the fiscal areas that they are "right", the Greens are for lower income taxes, lower corporate taxes, lower investment/capital gains taxes, and taht is clearly NOT left. The general thrust of the Greens (and most supporters of the Greens miss the point) is that if there was full-cost accounting of every good and service, then those that are sustainable would be cheaper, and those taht pollute/damage would be more expensive. By putting more dollars back in YOUR pocket (via lower taxes), you would then do your votign with your debit card by buying the CHEAPER and more sustainable product and eschewing the non renewable/polluting products. Layton and teh NDP keep viewing the Greens as just like them, but more focussed on the environment. While the Greens are indeed more focussed on the environment than any of the other parties, they do not at all support the tax structures proposed by any of the other parties, adn are distinctly more fiscally conservative than all but the Conservatives, however even there, the Greens favour lower tax rates than even Harper does, but instead propose shifting the taxes to "bads" instead of "goods". Get informed and vote from a position of awareness - Wed, 9 Jun 2004 10:10am
Masturbating The War God User Info... | I'm curious as to if you're spelling taht and teh on purpose half the time, or you just type to fast. - Wed, 9 Jun 2004 10:38am
ticklefish User Info... | I just type too fast. - Thu, 10 Jun 2004 4:17am
ticklefish User Info... | And where does that Green = Nazi comment come from? I know that Naziism first sprang from ecofascism, but to equate the Green Party with ecofascism? - Thu, 10 Jun 2004 4:18am
Jason User Info... | Meh. Just some DUMBASS who doesn't know what the hell they are talking about. - Thu, 10 Jun 2004 6:55am
