| Broccoli User Info... | No no no, This no school only applies to kid-schools. CUPE are self indulgent bastards and aren�t going to join this 1/2 assed attempt at a general strike (though the lack of buses this morning did make me slightly later than normal for work). There aren't even many protestors left outside of the Hospitals, though this could just be from them getting tossed in holding cells for illegally picketing my bus this morning. That�s the problem with striking: you can't even afford to eat on strike pay, so most protestors get starved back into working after a week or so. PLUS our premier is a PRO at avoiding the issues until protests just die out. He doesn't fucking care, HE can afford to eat no matter what, HE can afford to fly to private health care facilities, and HIS garbage will still be taken out. Every protest I have ever attended, no matter how good and just the cause, and regardless of the turnout, has COMPLEATLY fallen upon deaf ears. I have yet to hear a statement from any BC official that counters any of the crutial points brought up by the intellegent speakers at anti-3x-tuition rallies... Mind you I don't bother looking. You know what else I think? I think hospital workers who are members of the stiking unions, but deemed essencial services (because they ARE), should have to donate 1/2 their essential-wages to the union strike-pay fund.
