Grimace User Info... | I have wav needed to edit and convert. It is my first time doing this so I need help.Need a good program to do all this.I have the zoom H4N and it comes with cubase and I have no idea as to how to make things work smoothly.I am in no way a mixer guy or sound editor in any stretch, so it's all Greek to me.I was using AVS and had a whole project done ,but I was using the trial version with an audio watermark. And it did not tell me till the end (I was hoping it would not)that I had to pay for it to not have the watermark on it. I was pissed ....And I am sure some of you are laughing right now. But this is all new to me so..some help would be much appreciated. This is a chance for LivVicR's to show we still can help people out no mater how fucked you think the person is. - Mon, 7 Dec 2009 11:15pm Edited: Mon, 7 Dec 2009 11:26pm

B.P. User Info... | Just pirate AVS so you don't end up with the watermark. Just check a few torrent sites and I'm sure you'll find a copy. - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 7:48am

Mike S User Info... | do what most of us did.. throw your self into the DAW software of choice.. in your case probably a lite Cubase version.. and slog through it until you get a clue. Google is your friend. So are the help files. - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 12:24pm

Mike S User Info... | Cubase has an export feature that includes to mp3. Should be fairly straight forward.. pick an audio track, make sure your input and outputs are correct ( ie: your Zoom input and your speaker outputs ) test your levels, arm the track for recording, record the track(s) and EXPORT. - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 12:45pm Edited: Tue, 8 Dec 2009 12:46pm
Grimace User Info... | For some reason cubase will not recognize the stereo recording in wav form otherwise I would use it.Not to sure why they give you software that is not 100% usable.I can us it for the MTR mode and 4 channel mode recordings. - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 1:05pm
B.P. User Info... | 'Not to sure why they give you software that is not 100% usable.' In the computer industry we call this type of problem PEBCAK. Right Mike? - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 1:40pm
Vincent F. Evans User Info... | http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/ I use Cubase, which will do pretty much anything you can imagine, once you've ascended the fairly steep learning curve, but when I want to do quick and simple edits of stereo recordings, I use the above. Free version (not illegal or pirated) allows editing and format conversion - works fine. I downloaded it and was editing and converting within minutes. Yours in Pursuit of Mutual Higher Advantage ... Sincerely, Vincent F. Evans. - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 1:49pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | Convert WAV to MP3? I'm somewhat of an expert on this, as I've been playing with WAVs and MP3s for close to 12 years now. :) You wanna find Lame to compile your WAV to MP3 (VBR), or hunt down the "EOS Rippers Pack v1.1". Also look into using websites like Rapidshare, it's easier then using EMail to share files (I fergot what I used to use). Anyhow... - Tue, 8 Dec 2009 3:48pm Edited: Tue, 8 Dec 2009 3:49pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | You know you could always setup a Soulseek account and distribute the jams that way. - Wed, 9 Dec 2009 3:07pm Edited: Thu, 10 Dec 2009 12:23pm
Hearse User Info... | http://www.goldwave.com/ Not sure about Win7 compatibility but don't see why there would be a problem. - Sat, 12 Dec 2009 6:19pm
_Griphin_ User Info... | I used to use Goldwave, and a number of people in Victoria use it to record live audio. I'd recommend WaveLab, but at over $700 it's pricy. - Mon, 14 Dec 2009 1:56am
