| anti-blue-up User Info... | K, inspired by the 'metal night goes six feet under' thread: If you had unlimited funds to open up and run your own drinking establishment in this town what would it be like? It would have to have a kick ass sound system, stage and pit area for the live shows. But, without having to worry too much about profit you could play whatever music you wanted to any night of the week. As for decor, I think I would go with the whole catacomb theme...lots of skulls and bizarre murals. Multiple bars, couches and chairs around the outside of the pit area for the sitters. Pool tables on the upper level. A pool! TWO women's washrooms to avoid those line-ups. Waitresses with mohawks...a permanent hotdog guy just outside the door...cheeep booze. | FeLiXtheCaT User Info... | i had a dream sort of like that about 3 weeks ago. basically i started a bar after winning money and the bar was a big old house, i think it was called "the haunt", which is pretty lame. lol. the walls inside were painted black and lighted full of black lights. the music that was being played was loud metal music, it also keeps the unwanted preppies away. it was full of interesting things like plastic bats hanging from the roof and weird messed up pictures on the wall. the kitchen area of the house was turned into a bar area. my dream was pretty interesting and it then turned erotic, which i'm not going to share that part.. the end. - Wed, 25 Feb 2004 6:49pm | ||
| Autumn User Info... | cheap booze.. awesome, I'm thinkin instead of just a special spot for the tokers and smokers to go the entire floor and all the walls should be lined with mirrors with a clear glass/plastic bubble room suspended from the ceiling specifically designed for hot-boxing so when you got stoned off ur ass you could look down and you'd be like, holy shit I'm flying, maybe some laser lights for effect and a hot-tub filled with beer for the bands to relax in when they're not on. damn I love my booze. - Wed, 25 Feb 2004 8:02pm | ||

| Brand X Jesse User Info... | I'd open kick ass bowling alley that could be converted into a live venue. I got it all worked out. the gutters would be polished mahogony in aluminum casing, and once 8:00pm rolled around, they would fold down into the floor and bolted flat, thus creating a dance/pit area. the lane would have a transferable stage that would fold out of the wall and snap into place. The bowling alley would have league nights every wednesday, and the teams would be bad ass. There would be no trophies. the prizes would consist of lot's of liquor. First of all it has to smell nice, right when you walk in, vomit, stale beer and cigarette smoke and that urinal puck smell from the bathrooms....not good. There can't be any underwear hanging from the ceiling or anything on the floor that might stain their loafers. The drinks have to be VERY expensive, how else would you know they're any good? It would probably have a dress code, if you can't say the word slahhhcks you don't get in. Maybe some crossed cricket bats on the wall....oh wait a minute that's already been done. They advertise all their shows as all ages, well the last time i went, a few weeks back, we had to argue with the gay man at the door for 10 minutes to let us in till 10. the show started late at 9 30!
