Ike User Info... | I really hope someone is organizing a rally against this. It blows my mind how little compassion our Governments have for their people. http://vancouver.indymedia.org/news/2004/02/107259.php - Sat, 14 Feb 2004 6:17am
get a fucking job User Info... | Welfare is fine for single mothers or people with a physical or mental illness, but there is no reason anyone between the ages of 19 and 30 should be on welfare for more than one month. THere are plenty of jobs if one just gets off thier ass and finds them. And if you don't like how much it pays, go back to school for fuck sakes. It's not the state's responsibility to hold your hand and ensure you make a living. - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 7:00am
Ike User Info... | I have a good job, thanks. If you had read the article, you would realize that the proposed changes affect single mothers and mental health patients. "Get a fucking job" is a very narrow minded and unproductive statement. How can you and what gives you, or anyone else, the right to account for and make light of the variables in other people's lives? - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 7:16am
ROSS B AY User Info... | who cares. - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 7:26am

Ebolavire User Info... | I'm with you Ike. I completely agree. It's amazing how many people are / will be affected by it. That article pointed out some very important things that a lot of people don't realize. Campbell is fucking sick. The type of colon sucking political moves this guy makes it's no wonder he had to sell his house and move. I hope somebody lights him on fire and makes his worthless alcoholic wife watch. - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 7:02pm
Nik Olaz User Info... | boo to this news. - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 7:22pm
cooper User Info... | "I hope somebody lights him on fire and makes his worthless alcoholic wife watch." That's some pretty sick stuff, dude. That's not really helping the problem, either. - Sun, 15 Feb 2004 9:26pm

ROSS B AY User Info... | As soon as you start saying lame shit like "Man I sure hope someone else is doing something about this" you've lost. - Mon, 16 Feb 2004 2:23am

L User Info... | okay, so the age old argument about welfare is still going on.. yada yada yada... I would believe you scott... if i knew you. I could just as easily post something like that. I am in no way trying to be insenesitve but i do know that people on welfare are quite capable of getting jobs and should be pushed to do so. with that said, scott if what you said is really true, then that really is a load of bullshit that is being put on you. all in all, i'm in no way ever going to help someone if they can't even help themselves.and besides all anyone is going to do here is bitch and moan about thier views and other commments made probly mine too.. anyways, that's just how i feel(and just about every working class blue collar hero) - Tue, 17 Feb 2004 9:58am
Instrument of Karma User Info... | maybe if NON-mothers,NON-disabled people and anyone else capable of work was forced to work for their $500/month, they would find a job. Maybe if they were tasked with doing something to assist people who CAN'T work (building affordable housing, in home-care, etc...) then we the taxpayer would be taking advantage of able-bodied workers WE ALREADY EMPLOY TO THE TUNE OF $500 PER MONTH. I can't go to work and sleep in, no matter what I'm paid, so why can they? If welfare was treAted like a temporary job (once again, for those who CAN work) then those on welfare would truly need it... and face it, if you're working anyway, you might as well make more than $500/mo. Maybe these people would pick up a trade. Maybe monkeys will fly out my butt. - Wed, 18 Feb 2004 7:54am
