Cluny Macpherson is a true original. He has traveled across Canada by bus, rail and thumb. His songs have been described as "perfect" and "timeless." He writes about Sudbury, globalization, tragedy and his daughter. And, he makes a mean hollandaise. He can play the guitar, banjo, bass and mandolin. As well as a plethora of others, he has performed with the likes of Canadian Country Music Award nominee and Independent Music Award recipient Ridley Bent as well as Grammy nominee Jesse Cobb. He appears on Vancouver folk duo Twin Bandit’s acclaimed 2015 release For You on Nettwerk Records, playing upright bass. He released his first solo project, Country Squall, in 2015 and is currently working his next full-length release with Fiddlehead Studios producer Adam Iredale-Gray due out in October 2023. You’ll find him in Victoria, BC, hanging with his band, Country Squall, or his other bands, The Garden City Gang, Holler*, 14 Flamingos, Uncle Whiskey, and The Sweet Buddies.
