Event Description

Drummer extraordinaire Kelby MacNayr assembles an all-star quintet to celebrate the soulful and swinging music of legendary pianist and composer Horace Silver!!

Composer and pianist Horace Silver has crafted an unrivaled body of work writing hundreds jazz compositions - the perfect blend of sass and swing, melody and harmony - a dozen of which have become jazz standards today yet the vast percentage of are unknown, exceptional works.

Roy Styffe - sax
Tony Genge - piano
Peter Dowse- bass
Kelby MacNayr - drums

A joyful, swinging virtuoso, Horace Silver made a name for himself as a side-man with the great Miles Davis and collaborator with Art Blakey and as a leader leading one of the most successful small jazz groups in history!
