Event Description

Book Signing in Victoria

M. A. Wilson, BC based author of the popular children’s mystery series Maple Harbour Adventures, will be in Victoria for a book signing on Sunday, April 15. This is his first trip back to Victoria since last April, when he gave readings at three local elementary schools.

M. A. Wilson lives in Gibsons and sets his books on the BC Coast. The first book in the series, Adventure on Whalebone Island, was shortlisted for the BC Reader’s Choice Children’s Book Award and a finalist for the Saskatchewan Young Reader’s Award. His second book, The Mystery of the Missing Mask, was just released in November. Children aged eight to twelve will love these classic tales of adventure that recall an earlier era of outdoor fun, leisure, and independence. The Maple Harbour Adventure books celebrate the childhood joys of exciting outdoor exploits away from technology and the watchful eyes of parents. Filled with striking illustrations, they are already a favorite of children, parents, and teachers alike.

M. A. Wilson will be signing books from 1 – 2:30 pm at the Chapters store at 1212 Douglas Street in Victoria.
