STAGES is pleased to be celebrating its 40th year of operation. STAGES provides comprehensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Pointe, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics as well as Preschool classes from 18 months and up to our Adult classes in Tap, Ballet and Jazz -from beginner to preprofessional. STAGES students are taught by top professional teachers experienced in working as dancers,, choreographers and adjudicators in film, TV, Stage and more. . Their varied experience makes ours one of the most comprehensive faculties and training facilities in Victoria. Artisitc Director Kim Breiland was honoured to receive the Victoira's Community Leadership Victoria award presented by the Lieutenant Governor for her work with Youth. All of our faculty have professional experience performing and/or teaching in their field, having worked with the likes of Paul Becker, Kenny Ortega, Janet Jackson, Weird Al Yankovich, Dick Clark as well as having directed shows in New York, performed on International Cruise Lines, or trained and/or performed with the Ballet Victoria, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Les Grande Ballets, Tap Dogs, the National Ballet of Canada, and local performance credits for the Upside Down Magic The Good Boys, Descendants, Descendants 2, Descendants 3, Wreck-it Ralph 2, The Magicians, Once Upon A Time, Cops For Cancer, The Union Clubs Presidents Ball, Government House, performing for the Lieutenant Governor of BC and top Ministers of Justice, Our Place, The Port Theatre in Nanaimo, The Pacific Football Club Launch, Opening Ceremonies and Inaugural Game, The Olympic Torch Ceremony, Opening Ceremonies for FIFA, Dancers 4 KIDS, KidsRun, Pacific FC, Local School Performances and Conventions, Galey farm, Wicked Victoria, Santa Claus Light Up Parade and performances for the United Nations members and more. STAGES strives to be one of the most active dance studios within our community.
