It sucked?? What! I had a lot of fun. The 1 song encore was disappointing but other than that it was a great concert. He has to promote his new music... - Wed, 9 Sep 2009 2:32pm

Promoting music - one thing. Putting the minimum effort into that prromotion - another thing entirely. - Wed, 9 Sep 2009 2:50pm

too short. lacking opening act and thats being nice. sound was good. too much new stuff, tho i appreciate the need to promote. security was insane, got a full pat down, fukk i was at acdc on the 29th way bigger show and they barely glanced at me. this was my first show at the SOFA... i dont think ill go to one there again.

bottom line i expected more from manson. never been a fan but i thought it would be entertaining. it was not. i did nto get what i paid for. - Wed, 9 Sep 2009 2:55pm

It was very disapointing.. luckly i have seen him Before.. what drove me nuts was the lack of people standing up or even having fun. My wife and myself were the only people in our section singing along and chanting when he wanted to us to chant.

At the beginning of rock is dead, he proceeded to chant ROCK - silence from the crowd - ROCK - silence from the crowd.....same with irresponsible hate anthem...and several other songs..

Nobody knew him really.. i think alot of the people who went to the show just wanted to go because it was marilyn manson. I think the fans them selves ruined it for him.. He had the energy and then just lost it.. i wouldn't want to play in front of a crowd like that if i were him.

it was a short show.. i think he cut of maybe another 45 minutes to an hour. He didnt play his single from high of of low which is Armafuckingeddon, and shit load of regular songs like "Dont like the drugs but the drugs like me" "Come white/coma black" " The Nobodies" Blah blah blah.

Last time i saw him was on the eat me drink me tour and he played well over 2 hours and tons of props. He played 2 songs from that album and played stuff from all of his albums. He didnt even play anything off of Eat me drink me.

i dont think he'll come back.

like lucius said.. bring on Slipknot and the Deftones.. cant wait - Wed, 9 Sep 2009 4:45pm

The show was alright.... Best part was some of the outfits the audience had on.... and the girl on stage with Manson ,not sure if that was STOYA

would be nice to see the Deftones here again in Victoria...Last time the set was plagued by gremlins at the beginning - Thu, 10 Sep 2009 12:38am

I pretty much go to every show in Vic...save for the really awful ones...wait, i guess that's more then 75%...but anyway, i had no interest in this one. I used to love manson when i was younger but it's so sensational now.

Alice Cooper...now that's a concert, albeit also rather sensational, that's worth going to! I often feel like Manson, aside from being full of shit, is really working to have an impact like Cooper did...aka a show and music that is actually entertaining.

Cooper is still the standard...Manson bores me these days...oh and the crowd at SOF, for the most part, made me laugh hysterically every time we drove by (3 times, to be exact, because it was so goddamn funny) - Thu, 10 Sep 2009 8:45am Edited: Thu, 10 Sep 2009 8:46am

seriously though.. when was the last time Slipknot or Deftones put out anything even remotely liistenable. Last time I saw Deftones live they sounded like an out of tune garage band. - Thu, 10 Sep 2009 9:11am

I was on the floor and everyone around me was chanting along with him. I sure was! It's harder to get seated people as into the music? I agree with the non-existent props thing. His shows used to be a lot more extravagant. Maybe he's just getting old and realizing that nobody cares about him anymore so he doesn't in put as much effort. Or his record label won't give him the money? - Thu, 10 Sep 2009 10:13am

Yes, Mike I too find Slipknot trying at times if listening to them for a whole album but they are very fun to watch live. I only own their first CD but I've seen their live show twice. - Thu, 10 Sep 2009 10:41am
