A hot blonde with the voice of Satan, what more do you want. Smoking guitars, pummeling drums - it's all here and doesn't disappoint. Gotta see the Jagermeister tour with them and Slayer. - Sun, 7 Sep 2003 5:14pm

Arch Enemy is damn good live. In fact, theyre better live than on CD. The last album was alright...but i couldnt get past the 5th track without getting bored. And from the song i heard from the new album makes my hopes go up! - Sun, 7 Sep 2003 7:04pm

Eeeeeeehhhh, it's a disappointment. Seriously dudes, all the stuff with the old singer simply CRUSHES the recent two albums. Not that the new singer made it worse or anything, but the newer era of ARCH ENEMY's songs are so bloody repetitive, and the solos are so short and simple. Not that I'm a fuckin' wanker-Malmsteen-lead-fiend (or even a guitarist at all for that matter) but you don't have to be one to see that the musicianship on the first 3 albums: 'Black Earth,' 'Stigmata,' and 'Burning Bridges' is where it's at, hands down, the first 2 especially!!
Good for Johan Liiva (the old singer) at any rate, his band NONEXIST crushes the recent 2 ARCH ENEMY albums combined. Matter of fact, I saw a used copy at Lyle's, better grab it (some fucker grabbed the new GORDIAN KNOT used before I did...bastard!!!!) - Sun, 7 Sep 2003 9:39pm

Eeeeeeeeeeeh, not my thing. Unfortunately the recent 2 albums 'Wages of Sin' and 'Anthems of Rebellion' have been a big disappointment. The riffs are repetitive, and the solos are so much shorter and simpler than the previous albums. Not that I'm a fuckin Malmsteen-lead-fiend or anything, but it baffles me how ARCH ENEMY could come up with these albums after the previous 3. Unfortunately all kinds of swedish bands are doing it though, look at fucking IN FLAMES, they used to be one of my favorite bands, all the stuff up to 'Clayman' kicked ass, and now they're playing these simpler radio-friendly songs and putting out these "Don't like In Flames?-Eat a Bag of Shit" T-shirts. The Commodore show in July still ruled mind you, I had a good time because IN FLAMES played their classics, but then again, look at SOILWORK, they played NOTHING off 'Steelbath Suicide' and 'The Chainheart Machine,' which are simply their best 2 albums! I didn't even bother trying their new one.
Whoah, slight rant, but anyways, seriously dudes, the first 3 ARCH ENEMY albums 'Black Earth,' 'Stigmata,' and 'Burning Bridges' simply CRUSH the recent ones. If you like the recent 2 you won't even have to take these 3 to the listening station. Good on Johan Liiva (the old singer) though, his new band NONEXIST slays the recent 2 ARCH ENEMY albums combined. Matter of fact, they have a used copy at Lyle's, better grab it quick....like the bastard who grabbed the used copy of the new GORDIAN KNOT before I did, FUCKER!!!!! - Sun, 7 Sep 2003 9:50pm
