| ANGEL DEVOID | For your info I have my full band now. Yes I am new to music and I am going fast as a new talent. A lot of people here seem to think anyone trying to do anything is a big joke. Come to me look me in the face and hear me play, hear me sing first then tell me I have nothing. You slam everyone on this site for a laugh but you should be looking for new talent. Without a front man out there in front of the band you have nothing no matter how well you play. I hear from long time players all the time. Most have great talent but have never made it in music other than a pup gig for 50 bucks. They have what it takes to play well in top 40 but no drive to make their own sound. Maybe they are burned out from trying. People who beleave in themselves do those who don't attack anyone else who trys. Shame on any of you for trashing me anyone else all the time. You make this an ugly board to be on. I know your name and your site you don't see me doing any harm to you. When I decided to take music on I did it with all I had 24 - 7 but I never thought there would be so many angry people in this game. So many people just want to hurt anyone they can here. There are many in this town that (as you say are talented) They have done so much and worked so hard at their craft, certainly not jeleous of you, simply trying to teach you some tact! Your enthusiasim is commendable, but your words leave much to be desired. I'm sure that everyone of these longtime players felt like you do. When the reality of this business kicks in, you are wiser and better off. You live in a dream world if you take this karioki attitude that you'll be discovered and become an instant star! That's just not the way it works anymore! 27/7 of the hardest work you can imagine will still (in all probability) bring you nothing. That's just a fact of the bizz! I think that (albeit in a rough manner), people are just letting you know that at this point, your mouth is much bigger then you're experience should allow! There's a big difference between confindence and arrogance and it's a very small line in this business! So, work hard, try your best, be humble, try not to spout crap, get some experience and learn from people that have been there. You aint gonna change the world my inexperienced friend! | mike | Hey everyone. I like slagging like the rest of ya! And yes I may have slagged this guy in the past, before really speaking to him. The one thing I know about him is this. I know of 1 really good player who plays with him. A keyboardist, and a damn fine one. I know that keyboardist doesnt play with crap! I attempted to meet up with him, because he does have a good attitude. Nice guy, easy to talk too. Has his head on straight. The one reason i didnt go down to his Studio on Johson street is because I would only go down with back up! The grammy talk, and money talk, and all that that he does, kinda did turn me off, it creeped me out actually lol no offense. He is just on a high, about scoring some local talent easily. | The Ref | Hey Mike Spoke with Keyboard player and he said that he went a few times but it was terrible. Songs were unorganized and not very good. Nothing wrong with that you gotta learn somehow! FYI It didn't last very long according to him. Just too amature! And this Angel guy was really bad. Again, gotta start somewhere. Keep practicing there Angel!
