here is what I have for sale

1. 2 2x12 yorkville cabinets-8 ohms/140 watts
these cabinets are loaded with celestion G12M70's
that are around 20 years old so well broken in and
really sweet sounding. both have 2 1/4 in inputs so
they can be daisy chained making for a 280 watt/4 ohm/4x12 setup.
I'm asking $350.00 for each cabinet(easily worth more), any less
and its just not worthwhile for me to let them go at all.

2. 1 2x12 carvin cabinet-4 ohms/200 watts
this cabinet is loaded with carvin british
series speakers for that british rock sound.
I'm asking $300.00 for this cabinet, I paid
more than that fairly recently, and that was
factory direct, so thats as low as I will go.
this cabinet is like new.

3. 1 carvin 200 watt/6 channel/all onboard effects PA head.
each channel has both XLR+1/4 in inputs and I've had 12 things
going through it on more than one occasion and it sounded great.
it is more than adequate for any small venue and has line outs
for additional power needed in bigger venues. this head is 2 yrs
old but its condition is like new. I'm asking $400.00 for it,
and again, I paid more than that factory direct so this is a good price.

your missing the point!! yeah sure a new yorkville 2x12 guitar cabinet may be $320.00, but whats in them?? probably not celestions, and if they are, its the old celestions that are sought after for thier warm sound and superior sustain etc etc etc. have a look around to see what older celestions you can find, and when you do!! what they will cost you!! and by the way, I was looking for yorkville 2x12 cabinets just recently and unless they just started putting them out again in the last 6 months, you can't get new ones!!!

good luck!! :-) - Mon, 12 May 2003 9:42pm

Anonymous a recent review from harmony central
"price Paid: US $90

Features: N/A

Sound Quality: 4
I had these speakers installed with a custom 2x12 (Marshall-style) combo that I had made. I have a Fender Strat Plus and a Hamer that's similar to a Les Paul. It took me a while to figure out that the speakers were the reason I was getting lousy tone out of the amp. I tried both guitars and I have a few dozen effects...fuzz, distortion, univibe, compressors, etc. Except for a few instances, these speakers are completely lacking any harmonic richness, sparkle, searing distortion tones and absolutely no sustain. I finally tried Vintage 30's and G12T-75's and they both sounded great, 1000% improvement. These speakers sound like Vintage 30's burried in 6 inches of dirt." - Tue, 13 May 2003 1:13am

certainly have!! and since you asked, here is a review of the yorkville 2x12 cabinet that I found there!!

Sound Quality: 10
Sounds INCREDIBLE to me for a 2x12. Get this thing, will suit all styles. Deep bottom, nice highs, great mids. It's got the best speakers in my opinion inside (a little brighter than the 25 watters in my TV Marshall 4x12....but nice!) I play with a 1970 Marshall Super Lead and a Rivera stereo 60 watt aside tube head. Was gonna convert this 2x12 to a stereo cab but it sounds too good, don't want to mess with it. At this price I'm just gonna buy another one! Really, it sounds amazing! VERY impressed!

Reliability: 10
It's a speaker cab, it handles 150 watts. I'm sure it will last. Construction seems fine. - Tue, 13 May 2003 7:23pm
Anonymous actually its a review on the speakers themselves, not the cabintes, its under celestion - Tue, 13 May 2003 8:36pm
Anonymous also i cant seem to find that reviewunder traynor or yorkville? what kind of gear are you running through these ? - Tue, 13 May 2003 8:41pm
Anonymous I tried out all of this gear that ender60 owns and it is kick ass stuff. the speakers sound great though a mesa and a carvin. ...the pa sounds really good as well I tried it for a couple of jams. It is my belief that some speakers will sound better than others on some amps watts/ohms ratting. but the speakers would sound great on another amp. I have gone through this recently with the gear I have been buying/trading and selling...steve - Tue, 13 May 2003 9:36pm

the review is under yorkville at harmony central, check it out for yourselfs.

the gear I'm running through these cabinets, though I can't imagine why that would matter since I wouldn't be the one buying them, are as follows

carvin mts32 100 watt all tube head

carvin SX 200 100 watt solidstate head

and steve has run his mesa through the carvin cabinet and as he said 'it kicked ass'.

how would they sound through your gear?? depends on your gear. if you have crap gear then they will quite likely sound CRAPPY!! if you have quality gear???

these celestions are older, do the research and find out what happens to celestions when they get older. and to get some idea on prices check this site out.
