| Grand Sound User Info... | Just so you all hear an impartial opinion. I have been a customer of Long & McQuade Victoria for over 20 yrs, since back when it was on Goldstream. For the last 5 years or so, I buy, rent, and source all my gear through Colin. He answers all my questions, gets me what I need, and I buy / rent alot of gear year round. I am also in the music / customer service industry. I have referred lots of players to L&M to talk to Colin only. Never had a bad experience dealing with him, other staff many times, but Colin..no. Butt-heavy tho'...Don't let the prices scare you off. You'll save a whack o' cash in the long run by getting something durable as hell that sounds amazing from the get go; a keeper. | ender60 User Info... | Carvin... urgh.. cheap for a reason. yeah!! cause you don't have to pay half a dozen fella's commissions by the time you get the amp!!! I've tried mesa--fender--marshall--hiwatt--musicman--roland--dean markley--peavey--traynor--crate--etc etc etc and I think my carvin sounds better or at the very least,, as good as any of them. ah but alas!!! I'll never be able to brag about how MUCH!! I paid for my amp!! and as for durability??? I had my last carvin for 20 years or so before I finally sold it, only cause I promised my wife I would sell it to help pay for the new carvin. but I did have to replace the tubes a couple of times though, I guess for all that money you don't have to replace the tubes EVER!! in a mesa??? - Thu, 15 May 2003 6:19pm | ||

| Mr. Hell User Info... | The thing is it's all a matter of preference. I would like to be able to try both side by side and have the option. That way I am sure I have the amp that best suits me.
