ML7 Homie An update for those that care..

The video for ML7's Systemic has been accepted by LOUD and will be aired soon. No date has been set yet. The video recieved approx 1000 hits from various sources within the first 10 days of it being online, and http://www.immortalvideos.com has now featured it, giving us ANOTHER 1000 hits in the past two days. So 2000 hits since it went online near the begining of March.. doesnt look like its slowing down either, we could easily reach 7000 hits by end of March at this rate..

Artwork is coming along nicely and is 'scheduled' to be done this weekend. Once its done all we wait for is arrival o the new cd's. We are averagin 200 - 500 hits per day on the website not including video hits. A rep from Century Media has asked us to play LA but at this point we'd have to make our own way and book our own show, but they have taken notice and await a final product.

So far so good, and the album isnt released yet.. Thanks to everyone for all the support in Victoria over the years. Its been fun! Hope to announce a CD Release date very soon.. - Thu, 20 Mar 2003 1:42pm

you guys sooooooooooo deserve this - very proud of y'all for sure ; ) i would have to say that Meatlocker Seven is one of the most hard working bands this town has ever seen. i've said it once before and i'll say it again... go to any search engine, take http://www.google.com for example, plug in Meatlocker Seven and you'll find pages and pages of websites and interviews, etc. and you have everything covered. that takes a tonne of hours to accomplish over a long period of time and you continue to work at it. not only that, but you have the content and material that makes metal fans advertise you as well (that don't even know you - from across North America AND abroad) metal bands don't seem to receive the same type of coverage for some reason as other more 'accepted' genres and to see you guys out there so extensively makes me happy. keep on keepin' on ; )

Holy shit guys! That kicks ass, what are the submission guidelines for Loud? Is it very hard to get a vid on there? Fuck, If I were you guys I'd put a huge effort into making it to LA, Century Media (from what i've seen and heard) is a kickass label. Maybe all the hard work will pay off... you could be the next HHH... - Thu, 20 Mar 2003 2:11pm

ML7 Homie CM is a good metal label as far as touring and distro go, except they have a nasty rep for burning their bands.. Still, its not a bad bit o interest,,

Guidelines for Loud are fairly simple.. as long as a video is decent they'll air it as long as it has no swearing or racism in it. Being canadian doesnt hurt as they have to not only meet their CRTC Cancon commitments but they also boost their own rep for supporting canadian metal. Still the guidlines seem shakily followed.. for instance, they played ERD and Volatile ( vancouver band ) recently who have lower budget videos, but they refused to play Toronto band Eidolon's video , even though they are on Metal Blade and have an exmember of King Diamond in the band.. They stated "broadcast quality" as the reason, even though it was simply a live performance based video of decent quality.. ERD and Volatile both acted out scenes of some sort, which I think Loud looks at when deciding on lower quality videos..

Thanks RSBF for the words.. we have worked hard on this band in the 8 years we've been ML7.. - Thu, 20 Mar 2003 2:18pm
