I assume none of you listen to metal, or can even recognize the theatrics in metal or black metal (the armor, long hair etc.) The person in my picture is Varg Vikernes who is the most notorious musician of all time. He stabbed the lead guitarist of Mayhem to death 23 times or so and burnt down historical churches in Norway. Of course why should anyone who listens to metal know the most infamous person in their genre? Or I guess we should all just dress up 'normally' in our bands, since their is nothing known as theatrics or actually trying to have a bit of originality put into entertaining your audience. Than again I could never see any of you having a quality band if all you do is waste your time sitting on your fat ass on your computer, taking potshots at people who simply post a video. It shouldn't matter how long you've listened to metal, just the fact that you don't know the most notorious person in it means that you don't even know the basics. It's sort of like being a war historian and not knowing who Stalin was. I don't use this picture of him because he 'stabbed someone' or 'burnt down churches'. He's an interesting personality and has created some of the most unique music i've heard. Or to me and his fans it's an interesting picture. I know many people who appreciate the pictures of these bands who are over 30 or even 40 in age. If you're saying that you lose you're attraction to aesthetic or theatrical value in things and only like the "plain and generic" becuase it's safe.. than I'd love to stay being 19. God knows Alice Cooper and KISS were interesting because they looked like a "normal" band. I never said it was a way to get attention. I was just pointing out what some people think is "kooky" in this picture, which I imagine would be the long hair/armor/weapons. This means they have lyrics and sounds that thematically represent winter. Burzum is in no ways a frostbitten band and is hardly just, "blastbeats" and a "poser". Of course knowing such a dimwit as yourself, you will constantly argue that I am wrong without actually listening to Burzum more than 3 times (he doesn't produce cheap poppy albums that take one listen to enjoy). Oh and who is the most notorious metaller in Metal then (C.C Deville ahaha)? Every critic and fan has spouted Varg as the most 'notorious' and I think for murder, church arson, ns political affiliations, you are dead wrong. It's also obvious that you don't understand the music from that era. It isn't supposed to be 'techincal' or 'progressive' in its complexity, production or composition. It's minimalistic music and pervays extreme emotions and themes. It provides a backdrop for both the dark and nature, which could never have been completed if all the errors and low-grade equipment was taken out. And is this you're profile: Shoegazy melodic upbeat sound - fun music? Sounds pretty gay if I would say so, even gayer that you try to knock Black Metal when you know nothing about it.
