See the problem with dizzy is that finger 11 comes out with an album like every five years so they dont know what direction to go in till they hear the new album. | Anonymous | ummm. First they need an integral part of getting anywhere with any song. AN ALBUM. Secondly, a big part of Dizzy's sound is not the original sounding music, but the killer vocalist. Who knows what will happen when they get a new singer! And, IF they were so great and destined to be HUGE they would already be getting shopped at least a little bit. Not saying they arent able to get popular, but HUGE bands tend to get noticed before theyve been together 5 or 6 years, just from playing shows. | Mr. record man | Ya and those bands also seem to have a shelf life about 1 year. The record companies only want to milk that one (trendy) radio single out of them, by offering them a contract that kills them in the long run. The contract says we want you for this long and even after you're not selling any more albums (because we've begun shopping the new band and lost interest) WE STILL OWN YOU. In other words...sit down, shut up and don't play anything or we'll sue your ass for breach of contract. Don't be so nieve, the really great bands are the ones that stay underground for some time and eventually draw such a following slowly but loyaly...then the masses began to grow until eventually the "underground" gets pushed "mainstream" by accident, a good example of strength in numbers. By that point the week trend followers drop off as they rumble under thier breathes, "fucking sell outs" while the original supporters and devoted built in fan base stay true. The working bands also mean it when they say, "if it weren't for the fans they'd be nothing".
