Its called ONE-UP and will be featuring DJ SU COMANDANTE as he lays down the realist beats hip-hop has to offer. Only the real shit! There'll be special guests, free stuff, cheap drinks and cool contests. So if you're tired of weak, top 40 beats come support ONE-UP and help keep real hip-hop alive in Victoria. | Thugz | Man, I went to that "hip-hop" night at one lounge... alright music but the crowd wasn't exactly there. Given that it was a tuesday night i went to sweetwaters right after and it was unbelievably packed. Nickelback was there just chillin' lookin' like foolz too. | kitch | Promo is big but in the end you need time and community support for a night like this. Every project has to start somewhere and build up over time. Over the course of the night over 100 people checked out One-Up, most paying cover. Not bad for a Tues. night at a bar that isn't even usually open on Tues.
