This would explain why Benoit killed his son shortly after killing his wife, according to PWTorch.com, it would shed light onto why Chris didn't want someone else raising his son and made the fateful decision to kill him. As irrrational and twisted as it may sound, he may have felt he was saving his son from the double-blow of losing his parents through a murder-suicide and being subject to being raised by people who didn't understand or care for his condition. While in no way justifying his actions, the belief that his son was in for a difficult life as it was, and now one without his parents, might have been Benoit's self-justification for his heinous act (many parents feel helpless when a loved one is suffering with Fragile X). We all have struggles in life, some worse than others. We have a choice to accept and fight through (buck up) or give up and surrender. Society as a whole, respects a fighter and at best only feels pity for those who don't at least throw one good roundhouse kick at the can. The thing that makes Benoit's actions so despised is that he took the choice away from others. He killed the people that depended on him the most. Violence against women and children is the lowest of the low. He can say he's not trying to justify it, but as mentioned previously, making excuses for his actions is a form of justifying the outcome. Not to mention his completely uneducated views on fragile x. If benoit had just offed himself and his wife, his son would've gotten the best care available due to the size of benoit's bank account. So making some of the statements he did, just showed his completel lack of empathy as well as knowing even a scintila of what he's talking about. If you had a child with special needs, and had to read this bullshit, I'd hope you'd react in a similar fashion Bounce.
