| RoseisCool User Info... | Are there any musicians out there who are looking to make some extra cash in a safe cool place this coming Summer without the expenses of buying permits to perform on the streets? We're thinking of an idea that's just for you. This coming Summer we are looking into the possibility of opening a coffeehouse especially for the support of starving musicians. | Tyler User Info... | the coffee house thing has already been done in victoria. a few coffee places have open mic nights. one in particular, "sounds like coffee" on gordon street, is all about supporting local musicians. the problem is usually that people would rather go to a bar show or large venue. also I'm pretty sure busking licenses are like $20 a year or something. | RoseisCool User Info... | Tyler, Coffeehouses are full all over Victoria. We want music and we know the correct area to be in. Not everyone wants to go to the bar, that's why we've even discussed the notion of having children's entertainers in the early morning. There are plenty of young and old buskers who would be more than happy to have an air-conditioned place to play in the Summer without having to stand on the street and get harassed by the police. We won't even charge people to play in our shop, it's free, unlike the other.
