Yes!

I challenge any living human being to listen to "Into the Crypt of Rays" and not headbang furiously. The fact that these guys had such a heavy and evil sound without any downtuning is something that I wish some current metal bands would take a lesson from.

Oh, "Procreation of the Wicked" is a fucking sick song. Seeing them at Wacken '06 was one of the highlights of my existence as a viewer of live music thus far. - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 12:20am Edited: Thu, 15 Feb 2007 12:20am

Also, when they were tuned down for their show here in Victoria, all those old tunes were completely insanely heavy!!
That was one hell of an amazing and inspiring show. - Thu, 15 Feb 2007 10:03pm

I did at Wacken 2006 and it fucking killed, they were my second favorite band behind Atheist at the entire festival. Not to mention Monotheist is the album responsible for getting me into doom metal, and I have tremendous respect for Celtic Frost not trying to cash in on their fame and actually coming out with a new evolution in their sound. Monotheist may not be perfect, but how many bands have reunited after years of inactivity and actually made an effort to challenge their audience?

But then again Monotheist was the first album of theirs I ever heard, so I probably am just approaching it from a totally wrong viewpoint or something. - Mon, 5 Mar 2007 6:56pm Edited: Mon, 5 Mar 2007 6:58pm

haha ya monotheist is a pretty weird one for a celtic frost cd and i also didnt really think much of it after the first listen but after playing it more it has really grown on me it certainly isnt morbid tales but hey what do ya expect at least its not glam, christ i remember hearing that they went glam and thought it was a joke till i saw the cherry orcherd vid... fuck i couldnt believe it and everytime after if i saw the vid on tv id race across the room just to shut it off, never thought they would ever recover from that crap lol - Sun, 11 Mar 2007 3:05am

Even with the current lineup they were beyond amazing... just watching them play that stuff was a marvel in and of itself. There are a bunch of videos you can find of the performance on youtube... you can even see me for a split second in one of them.

The best part is that I'll get to see them again at Hellfest in France this year. - Mon, 19 Mar 2007 12:59pm
