| DTjackson User Info... | The whole show in total is six hours if you see all the bands playing plus we are selling these tickets in advance for ten dollars. It's not as unreasonable as you make it out to be. Price won't make a show better or worse really just as long as everyone has a good time. | Aidan Logins User Info... | Batteryhead wasn't supposed to be on the poster. We won't be there. Our drummer quit a few days ago, so we won't be playing shows for a few weeks. I'm pretty sure we weren't gonna do it anyways though, there were some weird things on the contracts. Contracts freak me out, especially after that episode of Twilight Zone where that guy signs a contract and they cut out his toungue and put it in a jar and it just keeps growing and pulsating and giving birth to little baby tongues. The organizors have basically made us the promotors and salesmen and performers all rolled into one, hurra! of course there's no money coming to anyone who can't sell 50 tix (as if)... | mat User Info... |  1) I can't believe that someone wouldn't read a contract before signing it. Wierd. 2) If you sell all your tickets you get to keep $100 from your sales. Not much but it's something. 3) If you play another battle of the bands you simply won't win. That said, the company that is hosting this show is based outta Toronto, I think. I can't see them checking up on shows in Vic. But you never know. 4) We've sold 50 tickets so far, so selling tickets can't be that hard. Just ask your friends. The average band has 4 members. That's 15 tickets each... I know I have 15 friends. 5) If you were smart, and you win, you'd put your drummer in the studio for the 8 hours and do the rest of your recording elswhere. The drums, I've found, get the rawest deal when it comes to low budget recording. 6) As I understand it, if you win you also get to put a song of yours on a compilation CD that gets distributed acros Canada. That's pretty cool by itself. But the top three bands also get to play a show in Vancouver at the Cultural Center. Which is a KILLER venue. 7) I also am interested in seeing T.A.W.G.
