Taken last night from my car in the Strathcona Hotel parking lot (Victoria). She's been a big part of my life for over 20 years and of course a reward would be in order for someone responsible for her safe return.
Definitely a unique bass, having neck-through-body construction with repaired crack felt where neck meets headstock, Schaller bridge with cuts beside string holes for quick string changes, cream-coloured EMG pickups, the truss rod cover has my signature on it and every nick and scratch has a story behind it. Serial number is F088-85, located on back of headstock. Please keep an eye out and post any clues or other retrieval suggestions here or contact me directly at 250-514-8866.

Thanks - Fri, 25 Aug 2006 12:14pm Edited: Fri, 25 Aug 2006 12:16pm

The Scumbag that did this should be shot! If anyone see's this guitar anywhere, please get in touch with anyone in The Usual Suspects.

A reward has been posted and any help retrieving this valuable piece of "very personal" equipment will be highly appreciated and rewarded.

"Dude"!

When someone steals your gear, you should be so lucky to have friends that look out for it. The guy plays in my band and is a good friend of mine! What does it matter to you? It's only a thread!

Shootings too good for thieves!
Hang them by their toes at Yates and Douglas and let the citizens throw things!
I will keep an eye out too.
Hope you get it back.

Nice bumping boys, thanks for the support. I only hope she's not on a slow boat to China... or Vancouver... (Please, no replies about redundancy).
Ny thought on thieves... well in countries with lower crime rates, theives get hands chopped off. The ineffectual penalty makers in the civilized world like to be more humane and simply slap wrists or give these low-lifes free room and board. I propose a median, where confirmed thieves would have to live in society for a specified time (depending on the value of goods stolen) with the equivalent of a Texas Boot on their hand(s) - lose use of them plus have the embarrassment of the obvious "thief" label stuck to them as they walk around the city and try to live as if they didn't have hands. I wonder how to introduce legislation to bring this to the table? - Wed, 30 Aug 2006 3:46pm Edited: Wed, 30 Aug 2006 3:47pm

I feel for you, bass bro'. I'll do what I can and keep my eyes out for it. That's a great bass.

No leads yet... and unfortunately (or fortunately) and believe it or not I don't know any drug dealers. This little episode might drive me to crack, though... - Sat, 2 Sep 2006 2:05am

Metalmaniac has had 3 postings, all on The Usual Suspects threads. One was a killer review for the band. Maybe he is stalking you guys and stole the bass! - Mon, 4 Sep 2006 12:50pm

You don't steal from musicians, we have no money. Not cool at all. I wish the worst for whoever did that and a safe return of the bass.

Sorry to hear. - Thu, 28 Sep 2006 8:03pm

I wonder if it'd be worth keeping a running thread going marked "STOLEN", where people can just put up one post each summarizing whats gone and maybe a link to their individual threads too in case people want further info.

And then it'd be cool if a thread like that could be printed up from time to time and delivered to and posted in stores or jam spaces etc. These sites get visits from all over BC so it may be worthwhile even if thieves transport stuff to unload elsewhere. Any thoughts? - Thu, 5 Oct 2006 11:07pm
