| TxSx User Info... | Hippy, the first batch of homebrew is going off with plenty more to follow. Was wondering what the irish moss pellets are like? And also a small vial of Andovin Super Nutrient? That u left for me. I'm usin them Brew House kits(gotta be the best/easiest) and they fuckin rule but would like to add more to each batch. | Randy Chaos | Trev-Dog, mmmmmmmm homebrew! Those irish moss pellets are for clarity of your beer. You probably won't need it in those kit beers but it wouldn't hurt to toss one in to the batch. If I remember correctly the super nutrient is for if your yeast doesn't start bubbling in your beer after 24 hours. If you get no bubbles/foam your beer is not working. (the yeast is old or dead.) If this is the case you must immediately add the nutrient or another pack of yeast. It's good to have extra on hand for such an occasion. Different kinds of yeasts will give your beer different flavors too. Fun to experiment with. As to giving your beer more "umph" just add more corn sugar or even better more malt extract. | Randy Chaos | Well I grew up there- I've got lots of family there but more importantly I've got some job opportunities up there and everything is soooo damn cheap. You can rent a 2 bedroom apt. for $350 OR BUY A HOUSE FOR $30,000! It costs $4.50 to go to the movie theatre there every night. (even cheaper on tuesdays) Mostly I'm sick of Victoria and all the beurocracy that goes with it. (over-active cops,meter-maids, by-law enforcers etc.) I'll be able to have more personal freedom away from the capital city. And hey, I've got a car and Victoria is a fun place to VISIT.
