Well on monday night my mom was cleaning out her room and she found her old Malevolance shirt and asked if i wanted it, i did, so she had there self titled album in her cd collection too so i grabed that too.

On the way to school tuesday morning i listened to it, it is probably one of the best things i have ever heard out of vic. The vocals sound like a mix of Sacred Reich and Death Angle which kicks ass, the guitar is like a slegehammer slamming away, its that powerful , the bass is clear and you can hear it(which kicks more ass), and the drumming is awsome it does mostly double kick and a few songs have little blast beats but there mostly regualar thrash beats. Overall very good and if anyone has this or any other Malevolance on CS and/or LP i will buy it from you.

The other cd is another of my moms old school cds, Dirt Nap,(apparently she knows them), this cd also kicks ass, the production is clear and level are great, you can hear the bass, and the guitar has a great tone, the singing is clean with lots of reverb and echo which is cool, and drumming is pretty good too its pretty simple. Overall a great cd too.

I'm pretty glad my mom had all this old stuff because it beats all lot of vic bands i listen to. - Tue, 9 May 2006 8:07pm Edited: Tue, 9 May 2006 8:08pm

Did someone mention old school?!? Jeez, people should know to ask me regarding old school demos. I have both the Apparitions and Race to Infinity 5-track demos, good stuff (Male Violence?!?) But wow, I wouldn't mind seeing that shirt actually. Dirtnap, interesting band they are.

Wow, there's a few names I never thought I'd see here (well, other then what I babble about). Yes, Maleviolence-Apparitions is OK, but Race to Infinity is INSANE!!! BTW: I'd love to go thru that collection and seeing which demos I'm missing. FYI: My collection is currently over 17 gigs, I'd say check out the demo website, but well, I need to rebuild it. Keep in touch!!! - Tue, 9 May 2006 8:17pm

I doubt they released any albums (I could be wrong about that) but I can copy the demos I have over to CD if ya want, and the bonus is you won't have to pay me any money for a copy. I also have both "Mission of Christ" demos as well FYI. - Wed, 10 May 2006 2:07am Edited: Wed, 10 May 2006 2:10am

Thanx to Jym for getting me this demo at least, I do believe Paul Block from Render Useless lent me the other demo. And that's who was in Malevolence, least when Apparitions came out. :) - Fri, 12 May 2006 12:16pm Edited: Fri, 12 May 2006 12:16pm

Paul and Jym would definitely be a couple of people who I'd consider as "In the know" regarding the independent scene in Vic in the 90's

but I'm a drunk, so what do I know? - Sat, 13 May 2006 5:17am
