We did it in our basement. Did it live off the floor and then redid the guitars/vocals. The guitar was done straight in from the record out on my amp so don't expect anything special. What do you think. cheers Lucius

EDIT: We don't have a band name yet.

sounds pretty dope for a basement demo.

Thanks Mikey, I have actually never heard of them before. I have just listened to a bunch of their stuff and its pretty cool.
Matteus, thanks for the kind words. Do you mean I should up the kick drum level or have a busier(sp??) kick drum. For this recording we used Kick, Snare, Tom(1 for both), floor tom, 2 overheads, the bass was direct in as well as the guitar from my Mesa MarkIV (so the guitar sound isn't really indicative of what is sounds like live). The singer (Bones) was added after the fact as well as a couple more guitar tracks. I have to redo the entire solo stuff.
We basically did this so that we could try and get on that "Hear This" complilation for Victoria.
Anyways, we will be opening up to record other folks demos soon. I just have to learn Cubase a bit better.

Yeah man, more kick level.
The rest sounds decent. Perhaps laying the vocals down again wouldn't hurt. they're OKAY right now, but have room for improvement. I was only listening through shitty little computer speakers at the time, so post your new MP3 so I can have a listen after the re-mix.
keep truckin. - Fri, 14 Apr 2006 7:33pm Edited: Fri, 14 Apr 2006 7:35pm
