I could never do it, I'm surprized people start bands. Sorry, I'm not a spotlight person. - Sat, 8 Apr 2006 10:37pm Edited: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 10:38pm

no one asked. plus i haven't seen too many bands that need a spotlight person. Maybe try picking up guitar, bass, or drums. Even keyboards may get you in. But just spotlight? I hear Saskatoon has a huge Spotlight person scene. - Sat, 8 Apr 2006 11:48pm Edited: Sat, 8 Apr 2006 11:50pm

Oops, I mean if your in a band the people in that band get put in a spotlight, is it fair to the fans for you just to play a gig and head home? In any case, why bother learning an instument when you'll never be in a band? - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 12:31am Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 10:27am

I believe it is fair to just do the gig and go home. Thats one rule for me. After the show, leave me the fuk alone, I want to go home. Now if i had fans, maybe i would stay and chat. But i dont, so i am going home. Maybe if i made money i would stay and buy a beer. But i dont, so i head home. Maybe if i had someone to do all tear/down for me I would stay and chat. But i dont, so i get the fuk outta there. Maybe if i didnt have sex with that one skanky chick after that show, and collapse into Moral?ethical decay, i would stay and chat. But i didn't, so in the best interest of my penis (more ways than one) i go home.Maybe if i didnt play shows and share the back room with other dipshit bands, i would stay and chat. But i dont, Ross B Ay is in every fukin band in town. God is he ever annoying. Over to you Ross G Ay! - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 11:38am Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 11:44am

Lamest thread ever? Not by a longshot.

Anyways, why learn an instrument if your not going to play in a live band? That's easy man, some people just love playing and making music. There are no shortage of one man projects out there. - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 2:36pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 2:37pm

People are just watching you do things, it's not that bad. Especially if you don't take yourself that seriously. - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 3:13pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 3:13pm

Yes, lamest thread ever. I needed to vent (my last message used to be a lot worse). So, how can you tell I don't care much anymore?!? - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 3:23pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 3:24pm

You spend too much time on the computer, bro. Stop expecting everyone else to care about your rants, or to do things to make you happy. If your life sucks, do something about it besides compaining to a bunch of people on some shitty music site. Go outside for fuck sakes. - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 4:11pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 4:15pm

Too much time on the computer? I highly doubt it. Griphin is a local music fan. If it wasn't for him and a few others, livevictoria.com would only be me and ross b ay buying shit off each other.

And after 100's of shows played, i still hate em. I think i have hated every last show i do. But i love the music. So, you gotta give and take! Shows are SOOOOOO much fuckin work. - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 6:54pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 6:56pm

I hear ya. I'm just tripping over nonsense, that's all. The way things are going, I'll probably go see my doctor and get put on anti-depressants. I doubt we're the only people supporting the local scene though. - Sun, 9 Apr 2006 7:15pm Edited: Sun, 9 Apr 2006 7:18pm

Shows are the best. Playing in a band sucks if you take away the getting drunk and playing shows parts. You're just working in a basement with a bunch of douche-bags until you start playing shows, and then you become super-cool. - Mon, 10 Apr 2006 2:42pm Edited: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 2:44pm
