Fucking great. Genius.
Amazing writing and production.
One of the best albums I've heard in a long time.
Sorry I couldn't be more critical, there was just nothing I didn't like. - Sat, 11 Mar 2006 2:14am

i agree, the material is genius... the odd time signatures are great, the songs flow very naturaly, the drums are extremely booming, the drums were recorded in a large open room to give them lots of atmosphere. the bass lines flow awesome with the drums the guitars and keyboards are incredibly original and progressive and the vocals/lyrics are very profound... when they played in duncan on wednesday they played most of the new material it was like listeing to an entirely different band... just from listening to the album the music seems to be much more progressive that any other genre that kincaide might be "labeled" as, this time around anyways. great work and production... support local! - Sat, 11 Mar 2006 1:37pm

Love it. Drums & bass are so in your face. The instrumental songs are superb and aren't just filler. Great concept for the artwork/layout/packaging.
Good luck/have fun on the tour! - Wed, 15 Mar 2006 2:11pm

Well, since I asked my reviews to not be posted in Absolute Underground, I figure I'd post it here (sure hate to have good work wasted)...

WOW!! It's always nice to hear a band sound better, I feel that this material really stands out, could it be the production? (I recieved a 3-track demo a few years ago and it doesn't sound as rich as this CD does.) There's nothing but decent material on this CD, this is quite possibly Adam Sutherland's BEST work to date, his production on the CD really brings out the sound! Take "The Devouring" for instance, it's like a song within a song within a song. I first heard "Something SURVIVED" on Capital Rock City (it sounded OK), but if you listen to it on the CD, it sounds way better (the opening to this song really catches your interest). My favorite track on the CD has to be "The Devouring", it starts out (sorta) mellow, but if you hear the end of the song and it sounds like the guy is starting to lose it, wow you can sorta feel what his character goes thru. Other notable tracks on the CD are "Diamonds", "Sweet Anodyne" and that unknown/blank track :), though the whole CD is worth a listen. I've never been a huge fan of east-coast Screamo bands like "AlexIsOnFire" but recently I've heard some examples from bands on the westcoast (eg. Married to Music), and I'm totally impressed with the screamo-style of music they perform now. If you do find the CD, be sure to pick up a copy, your money won't be wasted. - Mon, 24 Apr 2006 5:03pm Edited: Mon, 24 Apr 2006 5:08pm
