Tyler User Info... | it's a place to sell used equipment from individuals, that alone should decrease the asking price of anything. it depends on the item of course but I think half price is often a reasonable offer for many items. especially with a subject like "PSP 4 SALE CHEAP". OBO means or best offer, and that was the best offer so far. no need to yell at someone, especially since nobody else really offered anything. I admit 100 is low, you could just say you're looking for a lot more than that. - Thu, 26 Jan 2006 10:31pm
lonemonk User Info... | Just like in Life of Brian. "No, no no. You've got to haggle, Come on." "Alright, I'll give you 14" "14!!!? Are you trying to insult me? And me with a dying grandmother? 14!!!?" "But thats what you told me to say!" - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 9:16am
Lucius User Info... | Generally, I check out prices on the net. If it seems on par then I offer about 15-20% less (of course if the price is way out to lunch like some prices or here I won't even bother). Not always the case if it is already a good deal to begin with. After all I buy/sell shit on here all the time and so do most of you so I don't want to burn any bridges in case you are selling something I want down the road or vice versa. Don't want to be known as a ass or hard to deal with. Cheers Lucius - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 9:37am
Tyler User Info... | I have bought and sold and traded a bunch of stuff on here and it has always been a good experience with friendly people. every single person I have bought stuff from, sold stuff to, or traded with before, I hold in very high regard. I have never been ripped off or ripped anyone off, it has always been a fair deal of mutual agreement with no negative suprises. people are awesome here. I think often that comparing in item to a nearly identical ebay bid, taking into account shipping and conversion into said bid, is a fair way of setting a top range asking price. - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 11:15am
Kyle User Info... | As seen in : http://www.livevictoria.com/index.php?action=browse_messageboard&new_subject=209150¤t_board=4&PHPSESSID=c1544f5ae9ef5c9f65614d589b928a12 And I quote : "Brumy how much for the cab alone? - Mon, 31 Oct 8:38pm Gunner Brumy - I'll let the cabinet wander off for somewhere around $750. The thing is like new. Destroy_The_Flesh 500 for the cab - Sun, 22 Jan 2:02pm " and now, that fine cab, is sitting in l&m as we speak, because nobody would give him what it's worth, nor would l&m mind you, but they're going to sell it to someone who would have given him his original offer, nice work! - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 6:54pm
Lucius User Info... | and now, that fine cab, is sitting in l&m as we speak, because nobody would give him what it's worth, nor would l&m mind you, but they're going to sell it to someone who would have given him his original offer, nice work! I don't think that is a fair assestment because you can finance stuff at L&M's. I most definately pay more than street value for the gear I buy but I also pay for the convinience of paying it off over X months. Not many people offer to let me pay them $50 a month for their gear. Cheers Lucius - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 7:25pm
Destroy_The_Flesh User Info... | Hey Kyle I offered $600 in an email those cabs are $850 new, you think that was unfair? You guys are way to sensitive , like old ladies at a craft fair. - Fri, 27 Jan 2006 7:46pm
Gunner User Info... | Lowball offers with online sales are pretty much the norm. I got emails offering $300 and a bicycle for my rig. You just have to shrug them off, or take them if you're desperate. Can't blame anybody for trying, really. Destroy_The_Flesh's offer wasn't unfair, but it's a lot easier for me to cart my gear down to L&M and walk away cash in hand, than to worry about the details of a private sale. L&M offered $600 for the cab, unless someone beats the offer, they'll get it next week. And I'm pretty sure it'll be on sale for somewhere around $800 shortly after. Ah well... hope it finds a good home. - Sat, 28 Jan 2006 12:27am
