Having spent a good part of the last year on tour honing the songs from their upcoming album Tournament Of Hearts, (scheduled for release in Canada on September 27th) the Constantines' new record has already been met with rave reviews from music critics. The Constantines were recently hand picked by the Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters to open up the show for them on their Western Canadian Tour this past summer. Looking to build on that momentum with a Sub Pop showcase in September at CMJ and then a full tour of North America, the Constantines are getting set to make their return to Vancouver for this special headlining show. Opening the show is Brooklyn's own The Hold Steady who have just released their sophomore album titled Seperation Sunday. The album is garnering some great reviews, including a feature in Pitchfork's 'Best New Music' column. The Hold Steady's lead singer Craig Finn is being compared to people such as David Byrne and is carrying on the tradition of charismatic front men to come out of New York.
