Events User Info... | HOUSE OF BLUES CONCERTS CANADA presents THE USED & ALEXISONFIRE WITH SPECIAL GUESTS HEAD AUTOMATICA, UNDEROATH & NO WARNING THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND P.N.E. FORUM VANCOUVER, BC DOORS: 6:00 pm SHOW: 7:00 pm **GENERAL ADMISSION** Talk about obstacles: The Used overcame homelessness, substance abuse and the close-minded environs (not to mention a lack of live venues) of their hometown, Orem Utah, to become one of the most visceral live bands of its time. The group also shines on disc, as shown on their 2002 self-titled debut. That album has sold over 200,000 copies, with singles like "A Box Full of Sharp Objects" and "The Taste of Ink". Spots on the Warped and Ozzfest tours introduced The Used's powerful punk/emo sound to new hardcore and heavy rock audiences. In 2004 The Used released In Love and Death, a record in which the quartet truly found its voice--honest, uncompromising, loud and strong. The album includes the singles "Take it Away" and "All That I've Got." Their song "Under Pressure," recorded with My Chemical Romance, went to #41 in the U.S. Interesting arrangements, powerful melodies and the intensely felt/screamed vocals of Bert McCracken make The Used a must-see act live, where at any given moment the band members' intensity and passion pours out. In a few short years Alexisonfire has become one of the biggest names in Canadian rock. Not only has the band won a Juno Award for "Best New Group" and a Muchmusic Video Award for "Best Independent Video", they have also recently earned themselves a show-stealing spot on the Van's Warped Tour. The Ontario band's latest certified Gold album Watch Out! explodes with corrosive and intricate riffs, a unique singing/screaming dynamic, refined rage and lyrics, and a highly developed sense of texture and atmosphere. The excitement found on both Watch Out! and the group's self-titled debut translates readily to the stage, where Alexisonfire is an unstoppable force. Alexisonfire's previous national tour in March was completely sold-out, so don't miss your chance to see them when they roll into your town this time around. Don't miss The Used and Alexisonfire live in Vancouver on Thursday, September 22nd with special guests Head Automatica, Underoath and No Warning. Tickets: $35.00 (INCL. GST) + f.f. & s/c Available at all Ticketmaster outlets or Charge By Phone 604-280-4444 Order on-line at http://www.ticketmaster.ca or http://www.hob.ca - Mon, 25 Jul 2005 1:00pm

_Griphin_ User Info... | I do believe each building holds more people then our arena, and yeah PNE forum sucks (I think I saw Rush there, that was AWESOME!!!) - Mon, 25 Jul 2005 9:14pm
LivevicScott User Info... | I think the forum holds 5000 which is smaller then the arena. However I don't think the show's gonna come here since AOF only did like 800 people last time they came (which is better then previous times, however since its a co-headline they'd need to push more tickets then that). This size show COULD come to victoria, but I don't think this one will ... who knows maybe i'll get suprised. Seeing Head Automatica might be cool, they had a couple cool songs.... - Tue, 26 Jul 2005 9:04am
Sati User Info... | "The building can accommodate diversified groups of over 3,900 in concert mode, 2,000 people for banquets, and 1,250 in permanent seats." - Tue, 26 Jul 2005 10:26am
