| sealion User Info... | its on again, the return of the Pacific Northwest synth meet. http://www.mostlymodular.com Seattle has a suprising density of boutique synth designers and for years geekdom has gathered with a real wild collection of gear before John Rice retired at Renton. See his youtube. Going down to seattle Friday back late saturday. George who built that HUGe orange beast modular for smashing pumpkins promised he'd drag out his old eml machines he's restoring which predate his time as keyboard tech for jefferson airplane and his syntaur keytar. James of synthwerks does very cool designs and knows whats up in Os worlds before we see it. Harvestman built the board I use live for alessandros Cortini of 9"nails. John Bowen's new synth is way out there past the A6, see it before sound on Sound's staff or future music (saw the prototype there last year), and many more, plus weird things built by old farts from Victoria and designed in Austin, Paris and Bristol (and used also by Throbbing Gristle and portishead etc) and other crap (last year took an optigan). Matrix of matrixsynth will be there and many more. Techno artist Computer-controlled will proabably bassline and xoxbox it with his harvestman and flight of harmony setup and if its like before some bizarre exotica will unexpectedly surface.Its free, as usual. might be some car space Friday afternoon 28th.
