| Mr. Hell User Info... | It's not just venues. Some promoters pay no money or little money when shows do decently. I think that when a band or musician is not treated fairly it is okay for them to tell their story publicly as long as they are 100% truthful on the events. Maybe doing this will make some aspects of the grind more honest. | Zippgunn User Info... | Good idea Mr. Hell with heavy emphasis on the truthfulness part of it. I have rarely ever been truly "ripped off" by a bar or promoter; more accurately I allowed myself to play in a situation where I was unlikely to make any dough. The blatant ripoffs could be counted on one hand (out of hundreds of gigs). Tip #1 to make more at the door: trim down that guestlist. - Tue, 25 Oct 2011 4:11pm | ||
