I think it's pretty good. It came accross as slower aty first. However I think the clean production takes away from the Thrash sound and makes it sound slow. It is alittle slower, but great riffs. Tomas Lindburg returns to the line up with great enthusiasm and killer tracks. - Sat, 27 Nov 2004 11:06pm

The Haunted remind me of long-term relationships. For the first little while (s/t and Made Me Do It) everything is new again, endless possibilities, the world is your oyster, yadda yadda. You go out of your way to make everything right and good, and both parties involved are on top of the world. Then, it's like well, I've been screwing the same person for a while, and yes constant pussy is fun, but complacency, apathy and straight up "boring-ness" is an ever-looming spectre of things to come...(see One Kill Wonder). This latest album is like the 3-4 year mark in the relationship when your significant other has resigned him/herself to getting fat, wearing a mumu, reading Cosmo everyday, and is addicted to reality television shows. - Sat, 4 Dec 2004 1:34pm

Not really. At the Gates managed to go out on top without releasing any poo poo filler. Cryptopsy just keeps getting better with each release, Death got exponentially better in the latter half of its career, as did Corpse (though I bet some of the old school guys will take exception to that statement). - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 11:49am

I don't think ATG released any good albums . . . but that is for an entirely different thread. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 1:43pm

ATG did release some good albums. But Slaughter Of The Soul is just wayyy too over-hyped for me. The Red In The Sky Is Ours easily pummels that album. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 3:36pm

I'm too much of a production nazi to enjoy the first couple of ATG albums as much as I enjoy Terminal and SOTS. It's weird, the material rules, but I just can't get into poorly produced albums. That's the number one reason why our 3-year-old demo will never see the light of day...that and it sucks. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 3:44pm

I hated Haunted Made Me Do It, all the songs sounded the same. I haven't given much thought to other albums.

The Red In The Sky Is Ours best ATG album. - Sun, 5 Dec 2004 5:54pm

I agree with Made Me Do It. Its funny to listen to the first three seconeds of every track. If you have the album, giver a listen and you'll know what I'm Talk'in bout. And obviously I was leaving out some exceptions on the whole every band sell out post.

SentencetoBurn, did you listen to Revolver? If your a production Nazi you should check it out. It's hella clean. - Mon, 6 Dec 2004 6:37pm
