| [+} User Info... |  horns (especially acid jazz and funk fusion players) electric keyboard players (a la fender rhodes, analog synth) bass (standup/fretless AND electric, preferably knowing how to play synth bass!) programming(proficient in computer software drum programming, with own laptop/smapler/etc.) percussion(be it drummers or tambourine/shaker players.. the more you can do the better!) guitars(preferably experimental, but rooted in jazz, funk, and ambient rock.) vocalists.(rhymes or prose, singing or rapping.. matters not. dynamic range with multi-tiered approach.. not looking for any particular style or gender or race here.) the project is loosely based on most of the following sounds: funk fusion down tempo acid jazz shoegaze post-rock space pop bands that influence the sound: interpol cocteau twins massive attack dot allison silver mt. zion jaga jazzist metalwood handsome boy modelling school portishead etc etc etc.. email [email protected] if interested in playing any part in this. also open to instrumentation suggestions of course! - Fri, 19 Nov 2004 2:16pm | ||

| [+} User Info... | hey james and tyler. thanks for the interest! i have no idea how the lineup will look because the interest is heavy on the guitar & keyboard side. sorry i've been keeping people who've been emailing me in the dark... i've been actively looking for horn/strings all around town and even from vancouver. it's difficult to find the people with chops who want to take a risk by being in a band that doesn't have concretely written. let me stress, this is a jam band that will write accordingly. i want to see where this project could go. still looking for "lower brass" ie trombone, tuba, sousaphone.. etc.. and strings - viola, cello, violin, hurdy-gurdy, etc. also, anyone who has experience with programming and drum looping.. i am looking for you input into this endeavour. - Thu, 17 Mar 2005 10:32pm | ||
