I think they are a great bunch of guys and hell I even like a few of their songs. As for all the jealous twerps who love to dis these guys on this board I'll just say that if they got offered the job I'll bet they would jump at the chance. I respect these guys and even like a lot of their stuff (the second single was my favorite Gang of Four rip in years) and respect the fact that they got where they got despite a fair bit of indifference from their hometown; remember it took people in Van and Seattle to help put these guys on the map. This will be a big challenge for these guys and it will be interesting to see what effect, if any, this has on their music. | dooker User Info... | play vancouver monday night - drive all night - come across a sears semi which has turned over but thank god noone was hurt - van breaks down 15 minutes this side of calgary at 3 pm - tow truck wont take gear so in the rain we unload and are standing on the side fo the road when some musicians with an empty van take us to the club - get up the next day, travel 10 hours, play saskatoon wednesday night and load in for thunder bay for a friday show - hot hot heat may have had it better in terms of transportation etc but touring is brutal (esp in canada) - the lifestyle is not for everyone - dante has seen quite a bit and played some amazing shows - sounds like there may be a new guitar player hanging out locally - whether you like them and or not HHH went for it and they are not over - I am sure their new CD will turn some heads and even win some converts locally - whether I liked their music or not there was something very cool about watching them play at Sugar after having seen a couple of them play at the Western Communities Youth Centre in the mid 90s - in Doug Bennet we just lost a musician to the rigours of touring the other day - all the best Dante with your future musicial projects - give 'em hell... - Tue, 19 Oct 2004 8:29am | ||
