Death For those who were wondering what the slayer show was like:

DownInTheSun *or whatever they are called*: have corey from slipknot on vocals. I wasn't there, I got tipped off, but I hear they sucked pretty bad.

In Flames: Was front row for that one, blowing weed smoke at security guards who could only laugh at me, while periodicaly yelling JOTUN when the arena got quiet, In Flames kicked some ass. They got shafted with only a 1/2 hr set, when the next band soulfly gets an hour, should be reversed if you ask me but because of that, we only got to hear their new stuff for the most part which is un-familiar and there was no time to play all the old ones, such as jotun most of us wanted to see.
In spite of the short set, In Flames kicked ass.

Soulfly: Like I say, they shoulda had the 1/2 hour set.
Their songs were simplistic and repeatitive.
Only part of their set I remotly was into, was when they played 2 sepultura songs, refuse resist and roots, which were mallcored-out if you ask me.
Soulfly really doesn't belong with Slayer and In flames, in my opinion.. I think papa roach and slipknott would suit them alot better... Plus they played the bongo drums for 15min. If i wanted to listen bongo drums, I'd go hang out infront of starbucks on government.
Soulfly gets the thumbs down from me.

Slayer: Slayer, nedless to say, had the whole arena going crazy. I got to hear every song of theirs I had wanted to *mainly seasons and angel of death*.
Araya politely asked us to chuck him some doobs since he was in BC. There were soo meny thrown up there that at the end of the show, they threw back at least 20, there was stage diving, crowd surfing and moshing o' plenty. Only downside, some guys were smelling soo bad I gagged more than once, especially when the whole crowd lifted their arms for double devil horns...
Over all: Slayer fucking kicked ass.

As for the cobault...
We diddn't make it because out of everyone I was with, I was the only one on the guest list, and they all thought they wouldn't get in, so I just stayed with them and got loaded in our hotel...

But hey, on the way back I got a picture of a dead guy who had fallen off the E.Hastings bridge... Our bus broke down there, and we just looked over the bridge and there he was.
Also, when we got back, the bus broke down right infront of my house... That was fucking funny.
