ah yes the wait is over. vocals are different, more sung than yelled. thrashier too. the rhythm section sounds even tighter and the mellow songs seem a lot more focused than on Remission. Definately surpassed my expectations, which is saying something. - Tue, 24 Aug 2004 2:39am

Ha! ok, "wordsaredumb"...

I've only heard the 2 advance tracks, but they did sound more concentrated to me. Its amazing with such obviously top stuff, your standards go up with it.. you get picky. I found that there were parts on Remission where it dragged a touch for my liking.. so its good to hear words like "thrashier" and "focussed". I guess I'm not really one for anthemic melodic stuff.. very rarely, anyway - and it didn't appear on those 2 tracks. And yes, I like the vocals better this time.. more balls.
Gonna have to beg/borrow/steal this new one from my previous donation source for sure! - Thu, 26 Aug 2004 3:38pm

This album is great.Rockin, melodic and definately worth buying. If it doesn't make you want to hunt the elusive white whale then you are already dead. - Fri, 10 Sep 2004 2:19pm

I heard this while on tour (our bassist found an advance copy). Having got into the Lifeblood EP something fierce, I had high hopes. Maybe it was the vocals, maybe the dependancy on the drums accentuating everything, but I didn't get into it. Good, just not good enough to push me over the edge that albums these days need to do to get attention. - Sun, 12 Sep 2004 9:46am

yeah, "dependency on the drums accentuating everything" gets a bit much. I want more from every other instrument.
