Would just like to say thanks to all the incredible bands that layed it down from Yukon starting off the weekend with his fine flair for spitting killer hooks. Along with Yukon the first night rocked it out with The Whiteboard Project, the guys in the killer cannibal costumes Throat Poets, Reaver shredding it on stage in preparation for tonight's CD Release Party and Dead Eyes Open finishing off the first night in fantastic fashion.

The second night got Rotten quickly as the boys from Sooke-Rotten Rails set the bar super high for the other bands to follow. Llama God didn't disappoint and brought the Wall of Death (a first for me to witness) and told everybody to Get in the F*ckn Pit!! The crowd obeyed and relished every agonizing minute! Aquila put everything they had into their set throwing CD's into the crowd and making a bunch of new fans. When Scythia took the stage the kids were introduced to a new kind of folk metal that was akin to Iron Maiden meets Dungeons and Dragons and soaked up every note like one would with a heavy bread sopping up the last reminents of a great spaggetti sauce only wanting more....Unleash the Archers finished off their Slaughter the West Tour in amazing fashion as they had the crowd eating out of their hand and hanging on every octave level their lead singer reached bringing the fans to new heights to end the killer bill.

The last day was kicked off by new comers Sea-Sekshun and they tore it up, down and inside out to set a standard for the rest of the show that would be hard to follow but follow the rest of the performers did. From Moss Rocks killer sound and stage antics to The New Colors haunting grunge sound and epic moment of pure Rock n Roll legendary with the destruction of a beautiful guitar as Lead and guitarist Scawt Polachuck got lost in the moment. Then the Zap Straps took the stage and had everyone bopping to their sweet sounding surf punk.

Last but certainly not least The Laundronauts ended this marathon of music in legendary proportion with their ecclectic set of double entandras of doing laundry, to their underwear shooting air cannons, to the majestical bubble machine and not letting the crowd down with all the hoopla their set musically was just plain perfection...

Big thanks to all who came I know you had as much fun as I did. Also thanks to Cody, Matt, Jake, Luke, Curt for helpin out in the pit.

Paul as always the sound was immaculate! Roger and Heather from the venue your help and kindness were amazing can't wait to work with you again.

And of course my wife who works so hard at making things run smooth and put up with my madness during every event!! - Fri, 28 May 2010 1:47pm
