This could very well be the best team the Canucks have ever sent to the play-offs
Hank will carry this team on his back if he has to.
There are many great teams this year though, and I will not be crushed if they don't make it, but this could seriously be the year.
Edler was a beast last night.

I hope this thread is still going in June. - Fri, 16 Apr 2010 3:21pm

Watching the quality of hockey played tonight actually caused me to have runny shit and turning guts.

How do the Cancks fix the problem? What is the problem? The inability to put loose pucks into wide open nets during one of the 14 chances they have per game in this series.

I have to hand it to the Kings...they actually deserved the win tonight. - Mon, 19 Apr 2010 10:31pm

Quote from Mike Murphy, one of the judges on the dis-allowed Sedin goal.

"I think it would be so neat to see the Kings succeed and win a Stanley Cup because it would do just a tremendous amount for the Southern California market and the Kings franchise.
"They have been hard working and very close in a number of years, so that would be nice to see." - Tue, 20 Apr 2010 3:39pm

Bob McKenzie (TSN) says:

The fact that the man who made the no-goal decision last night on Daniel Sedin in Los Angeles is Mike Murphy, the NHL's director of hockey operations who once PLAYED and COACHED in Los Angeles, has no bearing on anything unless you happen to wear a tin-foil hat.

You may not like Murphy's decision, and I don't, but where he once played or coached has no bearing on anything because the man has integrity and cares about doing the right thing because he's a professional.

grim... I know it's tough, but don't be an idiot.

how bout the 4 goals the kings scored on "the best goalie in the world"? I think those were a little bit more important than one ugly sedin goal.

yeah - Van is lucky LA ain't up 3-0.

the nucks just aren't "proving it" enough for this fan.

genuinely concerned about Luongo's mental toughness

Defenceman Shane O'Brien has been fined $2,500 for shooting a puck at LA Kings forward Jeff Halpern in warmup before Game 3. Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault was also fined $1,000, while the Canucks organization was also fined an undisclosed amount. O'Brien told media on Tuesday that Halpern flipped a puck at him before Game 1 and he was just having fun because they are friends and former teammates in Tampa. O'Brien joked that he talks to NHL's Director of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell more than his mom. - TSN - Wed, 21 Apr 2010 5:20pm

From the way Clune fell, it looked like he dislocated his shoulder. Would make him look like an even bigger dick if he missed game six because of an injury from a fight that he picked. Also liked how they pulled Quick in the 2nd and then put him back after Ersberg gave up 2 goals on 4 shots.

LA put up a hell of a good fight. If it wasn't for Luongo's heroics, the Canucks could be out instead. King's fans have much to look forward to, but they have to have patience.

As a Canucks fan, I fear no other teams left in the west. We match up well against them all.

It would have been so cool to see Luc Bourdon match up against Kopitar. :(

Grabner for Ballard..

not entirely sold on this one, Grabby had some moves, was never (and likely never would have ) given a chance with the nucks, too much scoring depth on the top 2 lines, hopefully he can light it up in Florida.. - Sat, 26 Jun 2010 5:19pm Edited: Sat, 26 Jun 2010 5:19pm

There was no room for Grabner on the top six, he is not a bottom six.
We chose Mason Raymond
Bernier never quite worked out, salary dump.
25th pick/ Meh. When has that ever worked out for us?

Florida fans are upset
They say Ballard was their best player at a cheap long term salary.
They say he was better than Bouwmeister by a long shot.
Oreshkovich IS A BEAST
