Bill frikin' Cosby, the living legend, the man, 70 some odd years old or so, live in Victoria. I seem to finally witness in person some of the greatest in their field/s of work way late in their careers, Van Halen, Rush, Priest, Maiden........Cosby, the list could go on, yet i digress. Yea, yea, Bill, isnt in band as far as I know but he holds equal value in my mind so far as stars go. The show was good ,second show of the night, Royal Theatre over half full. I was'nt overly fond of the material, too much wife and family stuff, delivered with classic Cosby cadence though so it was humorous enough to warrant decent levels of smiles and laughter. He sat for most of the set, besides about 15 minutes during which actually lying down and sitting on the floor of the stage to enact the comedy which made the laughs even more worthy. It was the kind of material you could take a youngster or grandparent to hear and not wince due to the content and language but also just edgy and relatable enough to keep the inbetweens such as myself interested. I heard Bill Cosby on vinyl back in the 70's and 80's, watched him on TV through the 90's and it was quite cool to see him on stage in Victoria in 2010. - Sun, 21 Mar 2010 2:51am

Upon reading more about Bill from Wikipedia, seems he was/is in a band actually and also reminded me that his TV success was earlier than i ahd originally recalled, Electric Co. Fat Albert. My memory is worse than i know, good thing i wasnt even stoned for the show. - Sun, 21 Mar 2010 4:43am
