Dead Eyes Open start the evening combining music with an epic tale to create a concept unlike anything heard in music today and armed to the teeth with metallic riffs, haunting acoustic passages and memorable hooks for a sound to please every end of the musical spectrum.

From the gene pool of heavy rock masters such as Black Sabbath, Down and Corrosion of Conformity and the cesspool of metal misfits like Entombed, Celtic Frost and Nothingface, emerge Victoria BC's ROTTERDAM.
Rotterdam combine the pounding beats of rock with the grinding guitars of metal and add groovy elements of southern rock to create music that is heavy enough to keep the elitists from complaining yet catchy enough to keep their girlfriends enjoying the show.
Featuring former members of Meatlocker Seven, Pariah, Desensitized and Start With The Cobra among many other previous projects, this band was made to keep your head moving and keep your mouth full of boozy beverages.
Who says rock n' roll ain't heavy?

Black Hat Villain ice the night off locking into a tight and seasoned groove, each player understanding their place, knowing when to hold back and when to steam forward with a freight train of heavy, in-your-face intensity. The impassioned vocal prowess of Scotty Tuesday soars and snarls and reminds you of everything you loved about your favourite rock singers, while becoming his own unique voice that commands your attention with hummable melodies and witty lyrics that stick in your brain long after your last listen.

Be sure to come down for one hell of a party to celebrate this monumental convention of talented tattoo artists. - Tue, 23 Feb 2010 7:57pm Edited: Sat, 13 Mar 2010 1:32pm

Strong turn out.

Dead Eyes Open were tight and really good guys. They were without their front man for this show, but they all handled vocal duty well and he was barely missed.

We felt our set went well. The sound on stage was alright, except for the backwards monitor mixes (when will monitor men learn that guitarists want the other guy's guitar in the monitor in front of them?), and fluctuating vocal mix causing bad feedback. Out front the sound was great all night thanks to Myke Hall. Having Shawn and Scott come up and go nuts to Bury Me In Smoke was entertaining.

Black Hat Villain were eliciting the screams from the crowd and put on a solid set. Again, great sound for these guys.

Thanks to Shawn and Scott for treating us all well and making it happen! Congrats on a successful weekend, fellas!!
