My first album I bought at the A&B Fire sale, Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven... Sigh. I hung up the album cover on my wall and listened to the slightly warped l.p ( it had survived the fire ) over and over!!! - Wed, 18 Feb 2004 10:17am

Achtung Baby was the first album that I really engulfed myself in.
I remeber buying it back in grade five because I liked the cover. But I think the first album I had was ENDLESS SUMMER by the BEACH BOYS. My mom was really into me listening to music so I had a tape deck in my room to listen to stuff (back to the future soundtrack, california raisins ect...) The BEACH BOYS was actually the first concert I went to back in 1986!!! I was 5. But enough reminising. - Wed, 18 Feb 2004 4:16pm

Unbelievably it was Los Bravos' LP Black Is Black. Strangely enough I don't have it any more. Wish I did; it would be worth dough. First 45's were workout Stevie Workout by Stevie wonder, School Days by Chuck Berry and Go Fight For Her by the Astronauts. Cost me a quarter each (my allowance in those days).

Personal to Laprider: I too owned Rock Love and can attest to it having the ABSOLUTELY WORST DRUM SOLO IN HISTORY on it. And I like old Steve Miller. - Wed, 18 Feb 2004 9:33pm

I don't remember the very first album I owned, but when I got a job the first thing I ever bought with a paycheque was a 28 track best of Chuck Berry. Thank christ it did not include My Ding-a-ling

If it had 'No Money Down' on it it would be the only C.B I would own. - Fri, 20 Feb 2004 9:02am

My first three albums I bought the same day. Best of Muddy waters and Sex Pistols' Nevermind the Bullocks, and The Cramps' Stay Sick.
