Well... what can i say... it was interesting... First of all we were supposted to play at Vimy Hall, then a few hours before the show it got moved to Sungoma..so that kinda sucked, but no biggy... Second Sungoma is an outdoor venue, yeah that's right we played outside in november at 9pm so it was cold as shit!!! Third most of the people who showed up to Vimy to see the note on the door telling about the venue change went home because either a) they didn't know where Sungoma was ..b) they didn't wanna drive to the otherside of town ( which is understandable, i'd be pissed too if i showed up to see a concert only to find out i have to drive for another 20 or so minutes to see it.) So the crowd turn out was low.. i think 20 people showed up, but the BEST thing about it was all the people that showed up rocked and had a good time!! It was the crowd which turned an otherwise monumentally shitty concert into a pretty decent one!! so mad props go to all that showed up!! As for the bands performances Blind State played really well considering none of them had played in very cold temps before. Their set was the usual funky rocking attitude it always had been. And as for us (Kickback) I think we played alright too, we've played better before but then again we've definetly played alot worse. Our sound was awesome that night very rich... Like i said before what made the show was the crowd that came out, big thanks to them!

Shitty to hear about the turn out. We should set something up bigger there. Lemme know if we can collaborate on something. The Duncan crowd definitly enjoy thier music. We had fun up there because of the crowd coolness. Im lookin to set somethin up down here in Jan-Feb if you guys are interested. Ill keep you posted! - Tue, 3 Dec 2002 1:13am
