the warped tour is coming to van on july 13th, nofx, anti-flag, Bad religion, bouncing souls, and the vandals are suposed to be playing. kind of a let down form last year (rancid, pennywise, ptw, dropkick murphys, the unseen) but i think ill go just to see nofx and antiflag. did anyone else go last year, or is planning to go this year? - Sat, 24 Jan 2004 11:37am

Too bad the tour isn't coming to Victoria (or even Nanaimo). Must be a money issue or something. - Sun, 25 Jan 2004 6:45am

Where the hell would the put it? I'm pretty sure it's a venue issue as well as the fact that most bands refuse to come over here on the ferry, it's too expensive. - Sun, 25 Jan 2004 7:50am

I swear to christ that there is only a pool of like 10 bands that are allowed to play the Warped Tour.
Boring. - Sun, 25 Jan 2004 11:22am

i saw BR at warped tour a couple years ago. they were OK but not as cool as i expected. their set was kinda short, too. no-fx were also pretty shocking but they were a lot more fun than BR. i'd love to see the Vandals though - Sun, 25 Jan 2004 3:56pm

I think that pennywise has played each and every one. That sucks.
I went a couple of years ago strictly because I was working for Hopeless Records. I sucked. Death By Stereo was the only good band.
The best one was in 97.
Social Distortion
Descendents
Vandals

I heard The Sounds are on the bill. Hot Swede blonde fox on the vox. Good tunes that remind me of a better Missing Persons. I'd go just to see them. - Tue, 27 Jan 2004 12:12pm

Where would they put it?!? What about the University, or Royal Athletic Park (they could even have a second stage over at Logans, err... wait a sec, bad idea :) Besides, the revenue prospects are next to nil here on the Island. - Tue, 27 Jan 2004 5:18pm

Don't forget in '97 folks that Limp Bizkit and Blink 182 also played.
Limp Bizkit of course, performed to abewildered audience - sSucked then, sucked now. And guitarist Wes Borland made Marilyn Manson look normal at the time. - Tue, 27 Jan 2004 5:32pm

Whats with the warped bashing. Anti-flag alone is worth the price of admission for this years show. They are by far the most entertaining punk band around! - Tue, 27 Jan 2004 8:06pm

They may have been entertaining the last half a dozen times they've played at it. They just need to change their bands up. Incidently, A-F are among the few bands that could actually be classified as "punk" most of it is shitty emo and pop bullshit(yes, I'm including bad religion in there).
It's just another money gubbing music festival designed to make kids buys Vans shoes and Epitaph records. - Tue, 27 Jan 2004 11:27pm

i've gone to warped tour the last 5 years in calgary and i've found since i've left high school that it's not as much fun as it was when i was younger. and why go to see one band and they only play a 20 min set, then have to listen to a bunch of bands that you have no interest in. i will be counted out this year. - Wed, 28 Jan 2004 12:29am
